I believe I've been a victim of a "Hidden Warranty Scam". I was obligated to sign documents electronically despite being physically there, led to believe we were submitting for financing and would be given copies to review at home before final decision. Documents bearing my electronic signature were on a contract that included a different price, and an OPTIONAL service contract I did not want and specifically said to remove, in writing, that obligated me for an additional $2000 PLUS compounded interested over the life of the loan, totaling more than a $3000 over the price I agreed to. When I complained, asking them repeatedly (in writing) to remove and redo the contract, was redirected back and forth from the finance company and the dealership and told to cancel it, and they would take it off the back end and lied that I would not be paying interest. Additionally I was given the car without a smog check, an inspection report, or any warranty.This, despite being a Certified Dealership with TrueCar and their policy of "a negotiation-free car buying experience by giving buyers transparent insight into what others actually paid, upfront pricing information, and access to a network of trusted TrueCar Certified Dealers who are expected to make the process simple with no surprises and where buyers never overpay", Divine Motors is an example of high pressure sales, deceptive practices, price switching, adding costs and items to the final contract, giving misleading and false information, and intimidation to buyers.
