In June 2023, I attended a free workshop in **********, ** hosted by a company promoting tax lien investment opportunities. The presentation promised that anyone even with limited experience could make significant money from home by investing in tax liens. At the end of the free workshop, I was told I had to pay $350 to attend a more in-depth, 3-day workshop from June 2325, ******* that paid event, I was assigned a mentor (***** ******, also referred to as JT) who immediately requested my personal financial information, including my credit score, available credit, and bank balances. These mentorship sessions appeared helpful on the surface but were ultimately used to build trust and gather financial data for a hard-sell presentation. On the final day, I was taken into a private room with ** and a credit specialist named ******* from ********************** ******* used my information to identify credit card accounts I could qualify for and submitted applications without fully disclosing that they were on short-term promotional rates, which would convert into high-interest debt. I was then pressured into signing up for a $40,000 program on the spot.I felt overwhelmed, emotionally manipulated, and under duress. I was promised extensive mentorship and support that never materialized. I only received a few brief sessions that left me confused. The programs true cost, complexity, and risk were grossly downplayed. Tax lien investing requires significant additional capital, legal knowledge, and experience none of which the course adequately prepared me for. This experience has left me with $40,000 in credit card debt, no actionable support, and severe financial distress. I believe this company used deceptive, predatory practices and coordinated high-pressure sales tactics to target vulnerable individuals. I am seeking a full refund and cancellation of all charges.

    Dear **** *******, BBB Representative,

Im writing to provide an update regarding a complaint I previously submitted concerning Tax Lien Wealth Builders and a course I purchased through their program in June 2023.
After submitting my concerns and pursuing resolution, Im pleased to share that the company has responded in a manner I find fair and satisfactory. They have agreed to return the full amount paid for the course, as well as an additional amount covering the interest that accrued on my credit cards during the time after the promotional 0% APR period expired. This gesture was made as an acknowledgment of the financial burden I incurred and as a way to make things right.

Additionally, they were respectful and professional throughout the resolution process, and I appreciate the steps they took to ensure that the matter was handled with care. Their follow-through has allowed me to move forward with peace of mind and a renewed sense of trust.

I wanted to notify your office that this situation has been resolved to my satisfaction, and no further action is needed on my behalf at this time. I appreciate the role your agency plays in protecting consumers, and I am thankful to have had the support and resources available as I navigated this matter.
Please feel free to contact me should any additional information or confirmation be needed.

    Warm regards,
    ******** ********

I went to their workshop in ******, *****; with my partner. They said they had a 30 day refund and I ask for a refund to my concierge, she asked why and I told her, She then sent someone else to call me to give me something else. I had been asking for a refund since 2 weeks after I paid them the full ***** dollars. They oversell their website as to it's use. They showed me how it was well worth the money and when you get to use it, it is not as useful as claimed. I have a witness.I pressed more for a refund by calling their corporate office and explained why I wanted a new refund and they sent me a new concierge. They never intended to give me a refund. I sternly asked the person in charge of disputes and he offered me a 2000 dollars offset (still paying $6000) and to put me back into the business. I told them that I did not want that but they still said I was not getting a refund. I really dont like to give complaints but they are selling this 30 day refund as a fact and they give you the run around so they do not have to give it back to you. Then they will say that you passed the 30 days. I am not happy with the services and I tried to compromise what I thought was fair. I offered them 2000 for what I had gotten so far. It didn't work out and I tried to make it just the way it is. I explained that there is no way for me to pay back the $8000 because the way they sold it was outlandish. They are super nice at the training and then after you pay, everyone treats you like you not matter. I was told that I am overbearing, expect too much, and rude when I started off nice and then when the problem escalated, I got more *****. They didnt intend to listen but every time I insisted on a refund, they asked me why and when I told them why they said "we do not agree".I am insisting on 6000 back and willing to pay a fair amount for what I received,

They sold me a workshop on February 7, 2023 for $397.00. Within 24 hours, I called to cancel. I never attended any workshop and they said that they will issue me a refund. However, they did not give me refund. So, I contacted my credit card company and filed a Dispute. On March 16, 2023, ******************* called me. She identified herself as a person who will process the refund. She told me to "lift dispute" so that she can issued me a refund. I asked her, "How do I trust you? Can you email me stating what you just said?" She said yes. And she emailed me. So, I lifted dispute and I emailed **** to let her know that I lifted the dispute. She emailed me back and said that I responded too late. She has already countered the dispute and she will not issue a refund. She is a scam artist. This organization is scam.
