I paid Free Bird RVs $38k for the purchase of a 2004 Keystone Everest fifth wheel they agreed to remodel. I was originally quoted $35k and agreed to a $3k additional charge during our initial consultation in Las Vegas, NV. I was told I was asking for higher-end features as compared to the typical remodels Free Bird RVs advertised on their social media accounts that have since been deleted. I paid an additional $113.30 on September 21st, 2021 because I was told the lighting I wanted in the bedroom was not within the budget. The delivery was weeks past the projected date and they did not allow me to view the finished remodel in person before delivery as we had previously scheduled. I was not even allowed to see a video of the fifth wheel before delivery on Sept 30th, 2021. Since the delivery, I have had to call two different companies to work on plumbing, gas, electrical, and cosmetic issues that have cost thousands of dollars and are still not finished. I had plumbing issues upon delivery and emailed Free Bird the following morning on Oct 1st. I have extensive documentation of our texts, emails, and shared documents throughout the remodel process and emails re: restitution. On Nov 14th, Free Bird agreed via email to reimburse me the amount of the repairs as well as agreed to pick up decor and furniture that was either broken or not what I had asked for. For example, I received a futon single sleeper instead of a pull-out couch that sleeps two people. This agreement did not cover everything I asked to be reimbursed for, like the defective kitchen countertops. Per our contract, these significant deviations needed my approval before delivery, and, as I mentioned, I was not allowed to see 90% of the remodel before delivery. I have been waiting for Ms. B**** to schedule a pick-up time but yesterday (11/29) I received an email from her saying they could no longer reimburse me the agreed-upon amount and did not mention picking up the unwanted/defective items.
