Extremely disappointed. I was excited to attend the informational zoom for more information on being a travel agent. After 1.5 hours, everyone was offered a “discounted” sign up fee. The host repeated numerous times, “If you complete the trainings within 30 days, you’ll get your first $69 back.”
First and foremost, you should never be the one to pay for a position. Second, it’s not as easy as completing an 8 module training. No no that’s to easy. Once you finish that, you’re given a 10+ checklist of instagrams to follow, apps to download, my favorite - you must clean up your Facebook and make it public (“we will check!”, AND not to mention, you have to make a booking! Would you believe that. To even think about getting your money back, you have to make a whole booking. As if you’re ready to do that after 8, 6-minute modules. I’m embarrassed to have believed this scam.

I learned about the "position" claiming this "Shore Star Travel" was hiring for a remote travel agent position. Upon joining the "webinar", Archer Travel & Evolution Travel were explained to be the host companies and no where learning about this Shore Star Travel. They then mention that you have to pay for them to train you lol. They're an MLM or whatever you want to call it but please NEVER pay for a job to bring you on. Real companies give you sign on bonuses, relocation expenses, and you actually submit resumes and go through interviews. No real application and they make you go straight to payment and enrollment after the session. RUN.

Found the job offer on indeed. I attended the Webinar and there was a $69.94 start up fee that was pitched that I would get my money back if I canceled in 10 days and it would be an easy refund process. Well, something came up and I canceled the account 2 days after signing up due to a family issue. (February 6th, 2023) they have you send an email to request the refund and so I did the same day.
It's now been close to a week, nearing the 10 day refund policy and I haven't heard anything. I messaged the Training Agent who gave me the links and haven't heard anything back from her either and I can't seem to find any sort of contact information for the Agancy to find out what is going on.
10/10 do NOT recommend for someone trying to get into the Travel buissnes unless you can eat the cost of the startup fees/monthly fees. The commission fees, from what the Webinar said, don't seem too outrageous, but then again, this was my first and probably only experience as a travel agent as I'm terrified that I'm going to be charged the monthly $69.94 fee despite me canceling the account and at this point, im pretty sure they aren't going to give me the refund for the $69.94 I requested. I will make a follow up post in about 30 days.

Evolution Travel takes pride in honoring the 10-day policy and ensures the refund as long as the account is closed within the 10 days. Leise canceled on 2/6/2023 and was refunded on 2/10/2023 as requested. This is not an accurate review as we have processed the refund within the appropriate time frame.

I just participated in the “webinar”, if you were smart to look this company up before signing up kudos to you. Alarm bells rang in my head as soon as someone mentioned this company seemed like an MLM which resulted in the presenter disabling the chat feature but still I decided to keep an open mind and stick around. That was until the presenter explained the payment structure and getting “residual income” by bringing on more agents, literally a pyramid scheme - the more people you have working under you the more you will make. Now take a look at all the “positive” reviews listed on this page - they were all published on the EXACT same day. Looks like someone is working overtime in an effort to negate the very REAL and TRUE warnings people are posting. RUN, don’t walk away from this. If you’re truly interested in working as a travel agent please do your research and look into REAL hosting agencies.

I applied for this job because it looked interesting and it was remote. I was told to come to an informational meeting on Zoom at eleven. I washed my hair and put on makeup, mostly treating this like a real job interview. I get there, and over three hundred people are waiting. I waited five minutes, then texted the host asking if there was anything I needed to do to get into the meeting. No response. I kept waiting. In the meantime, people were dropping off the list. I thought about leaving, then thought no, I want to see how they can explain this. At 11:45, I received a text on my phone. Hey, am I still interested in working with them? Click on this link. I clicked. For $65, I can get training and course materials. I'm sorry, that's not okay. If you do not lead people to think they are interviewing for a job, then, you have to pay us $65. Incredibly disheartening.

I am sorry that I have bought into their pyramid scheme. This review should warn others not to let them trick you into thinking the BBB accredits them. I wished I had let my parents know about this instead of being stupid. I will never get this money back in the most reasonable terms. Please let others know about this scam. This $69.94 startup fee should not have existed when getting jobs.
