In addition, complainants completing surveys through opinionsusa.com report that they are not receiving promised incentives for their participation. When they attempt to contact the business regarding their concerns, the business is unresponsive.
The business did respond to BBB's notification regarding their pattern of complaints. The business has informed BBB that as a market research firm, they are exempt from the Telemarketer Registration Act and are allowed to call consumers registered on the National Do-No-Call List. In addition, the business informed BBB that when submitting DNC requests, consumers frequently forget to provide the telephone number they wish to be removed from the business' call list. When submitting this request through a voice mail message, email or on the website, the phone number in question must be provided.
The business did not provide any indication that they will be reviewing their processes to eliminate or reduce their pattern of complaints. BBB files indicate that the pattern has continued since BBB attempted to address these concerns with the business. According the Federal Trade Commission's Do Not Call Rules some businesses are exempt from the ruling.
