On October 24, 2025, I purchased a 2016 Ram 2500 diesel from GG Trading with a $4,000 down payment and a monthly payment of $529, financed through Western Funding. My first payment was due on November 24th, but the scheduled payment did not go through. I made the payment three days later, and it was processed successfully. However, the very next day, my car was repossessed without any warning or notice. Despite catching up on the payment, I was not given the opportunity to make arrangements or redeem the vehicle. When I contacted the dealership, they informed me that the **** had canceled the loan and sold the car back to them. Upon speaking with the bank, I encountered confusion and unclear answers. A week later, when I called again, they told me it was too late because they had already reported the repossession. They assured me they would remove the repossession from my credit report, including the tradeline, within 30 to 90 days.Six months have passed, and the repossession is still being reported on my credit. During my last call, I waited an hour for assistance, only to be disconnected. Given that the bank canceled the loan without refunding my down payment, I request that they take responsibility and delete the repossession from my credit report.

Please reach out to the dealer regarding the deposit as the deposit is kept by the dealer and we do not have access to that. Any payments made to us have been refunded to the dealer and you must contact them to obtain the refund.

I purchased a 2014 ****** Outback from Big Country Auto, which is financed through Western Funding and have had nothing but problems with this car. The car was not inspected when purchased and I had to get it inspected, the dealership had trouble paying for the inspection, then while driving the front end would shake badly when braking, the brake pads and rotors had to be replaced, I inquired about the brake light on my dash that's been on since purchasing car and was told that it should not have passed state inspection. I was told that the brake control module was bad, I was told that it was going to cost $800 for the part. I have tried to get problem resolved by Big Country Auto and Western Funding, Big Country Auto will not do anything and Western Funding took 2 weeks to look into issue, I've put 3000 miles on this car and not being told that they would have looked at car but I put too many miles on it in purchase so they are not going to do anything about it. I just want the car fixed, I overpaid by $20000 for the car and I'm ok with that, I just want the car fixed and safe.

On 1/15/25 I was charged ****** processing fee paid to dealership ****************** and a processing fee to third party finance company Western Funding for ******. My contract also does not state anything about extra payments paid. I have contacted Western Funding on three different occasions to find out why my extra payments are not being applied to the principal of the loan as requested by me. I have been told three different things by Western Funding employees (to include supervisor **** ) as to extra payments made by consumer. I was told verbally but when I requested in writing the finance company terms for how extra payments will be applied to my loan balance I received a contract with nothing about extra payments.

Purchased a vehicle through Western Funding on July 24th 2024. On August 1st 2024, the car broke down. Been trying to get with the business to try to resolve this issue, but they were nasty and would not help. in despite of the car being totaled and inoperable, it has been sitting in the front of my house. My daughter has not been able to drive her car since August 1st 2024. Its been a year since I have been trying to get them to at cooperate with me and try to get my daughter another vehicle. The first day the *** lights started coming on and the car cut off. I alerted hot deals on Wheels which is where I purchased the vehicle from, and they told me that they will replace the part, and they gave her information and told her that she can go to a particular mechanic shop to place the *** module in. Upon arriving to that mechanic shop, They stated that they don't deal with *********** or *** modules. I have been going back and forth with hot deals on wheels for over a year, and to no avail. After the *** module started acting up on the car, they claimed that the car was fine and that we just needed to replace the part. The part was replaced, and the car still failed. After some time, I decided to take the vehicle to the ********** dealership for them to diagnose the vehicle and it took them a while to do. The first thing that got my attention was that ********** stated that the timing kit on the vehicle was manipulated, which was intentionally done to sell the vehicle and as a result, it caused other issues with the vehicle. According to the Diagnostics report there were brake concerns, *** module concerns, crank no start issues, engine electrical Diagnostics was done on the vehicle because the car could not even get jump started. We went through our extended warranty to try to see if they could help prepare the damages, and we were told that the engine needed to be rebuilt. Car will be voluntary repossessed. Will not pay for a car that is inoperable.

Trying to resolve an issue with the outstanding balance of late fees. My car loan is paid off and I'm seeking help with payment arrangements for the balance of fees. Totaling $1,349. I have been been told different things by each agent. Lies, misinformation, belittled and reprimanded for why I am in this position of needing help. I want to be done with this company and would like the assistance to get this paid and move on.

    Complaint: 23489950

I am rejecting this response because: I received this letter on Friday June 27 2025. To further increase my confusion.  Upon speaking with someone all they said was that they are not sure why that was sent. Also told me that as long as I kept communication and make payments as much as I can there should be no risk of repossession.  That us all that I am concerned about. That overrides any concern regarding my cerdit being impacted. I simply want to pay as best as I can with what I have and not lose the car and move on from this. Thats all i want someone to formally agree too so I can sleep at night. I am aware I put myself here but I also could not help some of the circumstances that occurred in my life that made finances challenging.  I am trying to make it right the best I can. Furthermore when I tried to schedule another payment with the representative he told me it was too soon the system would not allow it. So its not my fault that I cannot set these payments up so they know I am serious about paying.

    Sincerely,

As previously stated: Please note that your account is currently 44 days past due. We regret to inform you that in cases like the status of your loan, no payment arrangement is available anymore. If the balance is not resolved, it may continue to negatively impact your credit report as late payment.

I am rejecting this response because: I just simply want to know if there can be an agreement to not face repossession as I try to pay off this balance as quickly as possible.  The debt will be paid and zi am not concerned about the negative impact on my credit report at this time. I just cannot lose the car as I try to resolve this matter within my means as fast as possible.

I have been going back and forth with western funding since the beginning of the year. Car was under repossession and had late fees I had filed a settlement offer which was approved two days later and they never notified me of it. They said the settlement timeline (3 days) had ended which I called a week later. They agreed to call me or email me in regards to acceptance of denial. They never did they then said I had to get the account to current to do a new settlement. Paid $2500 and they supposedly put in a new settlement request. I called for a month straight every day and everyone continued to to give me different answers. At first they were still waiting (makes no sense if the first offer was accepted within 2 days), then they dont do settlements, then they said they needed to place a new settlement, then they said it was canceled and they redid a new one, and now I havent heard back from them. I refuse to make any more payments. I told them to take the car I dont want anything to Do with it but they said it would just be a voluntary repo so Id pay the difference of whatever wasnt covered. The car is not running and hasnt been for a year it was put under those websites where you put the number and it was in accidents/floods. They fixed the car to sell it and broke down a couple months after using it. I will not be paying ****** for a car that does not run.

I got my car in Jan.2024 and have made all my payments on time or before they were due. recently we have hit a rough patch financially and our payment was behind at one time 64 days. I called gave them the day I would be catching up my payment they were honestly understanding but a little invasive into my personal reason why this had become past due. I held up the agreement I promised to pay during this time while it was past due they called me maybe 3 times until I told them what was going on. however my account is 21 days late due to payroll issue at my job I called them after my 10 day ***** period of being late like they told me too when I called on the day it was due told them I would be making the payment on the 29th and it would be current till the next month. western funding has called me every day from 8 am to 9 pm sometimes they call 5 times in a row plus sending rude emails saying they were gonna take further action if I did not contact them which by now I have contacted them 3 different times and said the 29th I will make the payment they said no problem we will note the account. but they will start calling the very next day at 8 I finally had enough and answered them at 8 told them one more time I will make the payment on the 29th the lady on the phone informed me that because I wouldn't give them permission to do auto pay for $361.00 they would just keep calling me non stop till payment was received. I've had to defer a payment in the past which they will not even begin to submit till 10 days of being late and they will in fact charge you ***** in late fees even though it's they're policy for you to wait after the ***** period to file a defferal and they require a ***** fee. that's crazy caused if I cant make the monthly payment that month where do they think I will cough up ***** to submit a request.ive had my car 1 yr and 4 months out of that time I've had 5 total payments of ****** that were applied to nothing but interest.
