    ******, an ******* owned company, houses consumer information--this company has made it unsafe to request a consumer freeze on my account. When you go to their website, they want you to print out a form and MAIL them a copy of my driver's licence and social security card across multiple state lines to a random PO Box. I could not even mail this form signature certified because this form is going to a PO Box. This is a shady practice to say the least. This process to dispute or freeze one's consumer report is a stall tactic at best. Data X should have a more secure way to submit a freeze request, online and immediately, instead of requesting such personal information to be mailed--which would take a few days to arrive and several more days after that to process. This is absolutely unacceptable, especially from a company that is owned by *******!This is not a safe way for consumers to exercise their rights to dispute. Requiring consumers to mail such private information is alarming. I would like for **** to open an investigation in such tactics and lean on the company to change their policy which would allow everyday consumers to dispute their consumer file. This request is not abnormal, especially since other consumer reporting agencies allow consumers to request such freezes over the phone or ************** information:DataX, and *************** *************************** P.O. **************************** #1-************

    When receiving an alert on ******** about a payday loan attempt, Im prompted to go through ************ X demands I send all of my personal information THROUGH THE MAIL in order to protect me. It also clearly states to NOT send the information through email. As a company priding itself to safeguard customers from fraud on their website, they should know better than sending PII through mail. And this company brags, With access to more than 300 million consumers While also claiming to, Reduce your exposure to fraud and profitably grow your business...This company is complicit in coercing people to providing sensitive information in the least secure process possible. The mail theft fraud is out of control in the **, notably in *******, *******. A company priding itself in security should know this practice is backwards, deceptive, and subject to substantial civil and criminal liability. Please advise on how this borderline fraudulent company can openly brag about security, coercing people to send their sensitive information through the mail, while flexing their ability to have unlimited access to sensitive information of 300 million people.

I asked about why your company coerces people into providing sensitive PII in the absolute worst way possible: through the mail. The security of the US mail is non existent. Your pathetic attempt at pretending you care about preventing fraud is one of the worst Ive seen.

    Your company needs to be held civilly and criminally accountable for placing people in ***** way and causing them to unnecessarily compromise their most sensitive information. Stop this ridiculous practice.

    DataX is an ***************. I have all my credit reports frozen (Iincluding Equifax) for security reasons. I was notified by my credit monitoring service (Aura) that my personal information had been used for a short term loan application through DataX. I contacted DataX to obtain more information on the loan request using my personal information and or to freeze my report to mitigate any additional personal data breach. I was told by the DataX representative that they could not provide any information in reference to the short term credit request. If I wanted to freeze my credit report under "Consumer Credit Freeze" I would need to print out and mail the physical form to DataX and after 3 daya of receiving thr form, my report at DataX would be frozen. The form requires very personal data be written down along with a copy of a valid ID. This form and method are all a high risk to personal data breach to merely freeze my credit with DataX and receive the information as to who the initial short term loan requesters was and for what type of loan. In addition, by the time ******* delivers the form and DataX takes three day, my credit and personal information could be used for up to a week until anything is done. The company is purposely making it extremely difficult and risky to the consumer to freeze their credit and receive information on attempted credit applications and not operating under the Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA).     We are requesting ********** provide valid personal identifying information documents in order to fulfill her request for an investigation. With the last two correspondence received from Ms. ******** we see a discrepancy with her name. The document Ms. ******* provided in the BBB portal with the items she requested to be investigated, was signed as ****** ***** *******; however, the name on the complaint that was submitted shows **** *******.


    DataX would like to assist Ms. ************* with her request but cannot do so until the required documentation is provided to us in writing to the DataX PO Box referenced below.  DataX recognizes that a consumer has the right to an investigation; however, the consumer is required to provide proper identification, which may include a Social Security Number and a copy of a state issued ID for the protection and identity of the consumer.

    When I checked my credit reports, I noticed that the following accounts are being Re-aged and reporting derogatory collections on my consumer reports every month. This is illegal and not in accordance with the Fair Credit Reporting Act. This is double jeopardy and unfair credit reporting. This is also a violation of my consumer rights according to what I've read in the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (FDCPA), 15 U.S.C. 1681c(a)(5). Delete these accounts off my credit report because I am not liable for them. CRAs are mandated to provide 100% accuracy in reporting, and they are not. Other violations include 15 U.S.C. 1681a (2)(i): Exclusions, Late Payments are Transactions and aren't to be reported on credit reports. Collections Accounts: ********* CAPITAL SYSTEMS 370218XXXXXXX, and I C SYSTEM *** 159016XXX. Other violations under the Fair Debt Collections Practices Act- 15 U.S.C. 1681g: Disclosures to consumers, and Fair Credit Reporting Act 15 U.S.C. 1681 for willful noncompliance. According to 15 U.S.C. 1681 Section 602 A, and 15 U.S.C. 1681 Section 604 A Section 2, I have the right to privacy, and I never gave consent to any CRAs or anyone to furnish my accounts without my written instructions. Late payments are are also reporting late payments on closed accounts, violating my rights under 15 U.S.C. 1681e: Compliance Procedures and Accuracy of Report, and 15 U.S.C. 1681s2: Responsibilities of furnishers. There is also a violation of 15 U.S.C. 1666(b): Billing Error. Creditors can't treat a payment as late for any purpose. Delete these accounts and mail me a consumer report/ file with corrections please. I'm making this complaint without third-party assistance.

    DataX received your dispute correspondence; however, the leasing agreement you provided is not part of the DataX credit reporting database.


    In order for us to determine whether or not you have a credit file with DataX, we need you to verify your identity by providing information in writing to DataX. Please complete the enclosed Consumer Report Request in its entirety and mail it along with the required personal identifying information referenced on the form to the DataX address referenced above. You must also include the required documentation listed on the form so that we are able to validate your identity prior to sending sensitive personal information. 


    Since you stated that you are a victim of identity theft, we would highly recommend  that you request to have a Security Freeze placed on your DataX credit report by completing the enclosed Consumer Credit Freeze form, as well.


    To keep your personal information protected and secure, please send all documents required to verify your identity to the DataX address listed above.  Once DataX receives your information in writing, we will send you a copy of your DataX credit report, assuming there is one on file.  If there is not a credit report on file, we will notify you as such in writing.
