      I have been banking with **** since I moved here in ***** in 2008. I am beyond upset with how I have been slammed with overdraft fees due to rearrangement of transactions which has made thing worse than they are leaving myself in a vicious cycle I cant escape even when I get my deposits every two weeks from my job. Due to the reordering of transactions (even when I had plenty of funds at the time of smaller purchases my checking funds go into the negatives due to the bombardment of $29 overdraft fees/nonsufficient fund fees with every transaction leaving a cascade of multiple draft fees. My average paycheck is $2600 every 2 weeks but due to how SSSC processes withdrawals I am usually left with $1700 mainly because of the overdraft fees accumulated. I am beyond furious especially being a long time customer this feels like I am being robbed in broad daylight. My biggest gripe is basically this: I made smaller purchases before a larger purchase/bill due to the reordering of the transactions instead of including a one time overdraft fee I am charged twice or more due to the smaller charges being processed much later. This is an extremely predatory process preying on customers in order to charge them even more than what they originally owed. Because of this I have lost a lot of money from SSSC from this past year. Every time I thought I was in the clear once I get paycheck I get pushed down due to these charges. I have contacted **** but was met with hostility/rudeness.

      On 3/17/25 I purchased a vehicle and the loan was given through Silver State Schools Credit Union. on 3/24/25 I was involved in a crash in that vehicle and my insurance totaled it on 4/4/25. I attempted to open an online account but was never given the info as to how to login. I had to call to get that info and was even told by the person I spoke to that I wouldn't have found that login info in anything given to me or sent to me. On 5/8/25 my insurance sent out a check to SSSCU for $26095.54. On 5/16/25 my insurance attempted to contact SSSCU but never received a call back. On 5/19/25 I called SSSCU and was told check hadn't been received. On 5/27/25 my wife received a call from SSSCU and was told if we didn't make a payment it would be reported to credit bureau. I got in contact with insurance and was provided the reference #SR18285714. On 5/28/25 I called SSSCU and gave them info on delivery of check. They said it was insufficient proof. I contacted insurance and was given tracking #1ZV517G91370055338 which verified delivery of check on 5/9/25 at 11:08am by *******. When my wife called she spoke to ***** and he looked into the info still denied receiving check. On 5/29/25 my wife called again and was told they would contact insurance to have another check sent. She was told she would get a call back and she also asked whether we needed to make a payment to avoid our credit being affected and was told by ***** no. He went as far as to say that he would leave notes on our account to ensure that wouldn't happen. He never called back. I received a 40 point hit on my credit on 6/2/25. Check was cashed on 5/30/25 for $26095.54. Another payment for $4188 6/4/25. My account still shows overdue with no payments made. From the negligence in losing the check, to failing to accept they lost it after being given full proof of they're receipt of the check. To not following through on call backs and the 40 point hit to my credit. The worst experience with a credit union ever.

      I opened an account with Silver State Credit Union in January 2025 and soon realized they do not use Zelle as a payment platform. I was told that they did, which is why I opened an account with them. After attempting to send several payments to "others" which took a week, with some of them not going through, I decided to close my account.On January 28, 2025 I visited their branch at ********************************************************. I was assisted by, I believe her name was ******, who was rude AF!! She asked in a very snarky tone why I was closing my account and I told her "because you don't offer Zelle and I can't afford to wait up to a week to pay someone." She told me that "most credit unions don't offer Zelle" to which I responded, "I have accounts at three other credit unions and they all offer Zelle". She said "whatever" as she rolled her ******* we wrapped everything up, she told me that there was a $25 charge to close my account within 90 days. I asked her why are you charging me a penalty to close my account because you don't offer what I need. She again became very rude and told me "that's what it is". I asked her who governs credit unions and she told me "the government" and threw the receipt on the counter.I simply walked out before the entire situation escalated!

      In October Silver State Schools Credit Union charged me for a "Bad Address Fee" of $10. So I made sure my address was correct and all should have been good and they reversed the fee, Keep in mind I am 100% paperless with them. Now on December 4th I get an email that i have once again been charged the "Bad Address Fee" of $10. There is no reason to charge me a bad address fee when I have already resolved it a month ago. I logged in and again verified the address was correct. Maybe this bank uses bogus fees to rip off their customers as this is not the first time I had fee issues with them. Early in my time at this credit union, I was getting charged $5 a month for a paper statement but was again paperless with them. Went into the bank and they even confirmed I had already gone paperless and refunded the fee. This went on for several months before they got it resolved but I still had to go to the branch each time to get the fee refunded as I will have to do again for this fee.

      The contract related to this account has been cancelled. Silver state schools agreed to delete. I am still continuously being contacted for payment to be made and to provide proof of insurance for a 2015 ************* I DO NOT HAVE. I NEVER TOOK POSESSION OF IT. NOR DID I TAKE POSSESSION OF ANY FUNDS. Silver state contacted me saying they found the check at one of their branches. If you located the check why has nothing has been dissolved? You need to correct this as I am a loyal customer. Aren't ********************************************** supposed to be for their members? Very unorganized. Bad communication. Should I take my future business elsewhere and make sure all of my clients in the car buying market are notified to stay far away from your union so they do not share my horrible experience? I'm sure social media would be interested in hearing the details of this and how poorly it has been handled. I would like written confirmation by email this contract has been voided. I would also like a supervisor to contact me directly and apologize for the misunderstanding. How and when do you plan on rectifying the situation? Please advise!

      SSSCU is stealing my money through fees that do not apply to me. They are charging me a bad address fee for mail even though my address is 1) correct and updated 2) I am signed up for paperless e-statements. I am aware that they have to send a letter for over draft fees, but even then, I should not be getting the fee since my mailing address is correct and I have received mail from them before. I have been getting this fee every month regardless of if I have over drafted or not for years. I have tried to speak to multiple customer service people and the issue has not been resolved. I know they are lying because I live with my mother who also has SSSCU. She gets mail from them and so do I, which proves they know my address, yet SSSCU claims that my mail is being sent back so I must be charged a fee. The mail should not be getting sent back. I would like a refund for every single time they have taken money from me without cause.

      Im writing a second time about the same issue. The same day, early this morning 7/22/24, I was charged $160 in overdrafts and the same time a check over $900 was deposited. Bills came out- less than the check amount and I was hit with overdrafts and again they did not reverse them due do a policy and since my account is current. I do not understand why as the money was there to pay these bills. I do not have a problem with the fees when it makes sense, but this does not. I will after this be moving my money to another establishment.

      I have not received the refund for my gap insurance. I sold my Chrysler on June 3, 2024 and paid my gap insurance for 84 months purchased the car in July 2022 the finance manager at prestige Chrysler said Silver State schools was going to send my refund. I reached out on the website for Silver State schools, but never received a response

      Silver State Schools credit union charged ***** in overdraft fees no matter the amount. This happened several times the day I was paid. They argued with me basically saying oh well with over 200 in overdrafts the same day I was paid. Only until I mentioned leaving and brought up other banks did they do a courtesy reversal of 3 overdrafts which still left me with more OD fees than not. Staff is rude and condescending when conversing in chats. This isnt the first time theyve done this. It is a trend. Im requesting the other half of 6 OD fees between the 22nd and 24th. As three were reversed after constant battle with them.
