      I switched to SW medical and my health plan authorized the procedure I needed. SW pharmacy reached out to me the same day and had me sign all the authorization paperwork. I then waited a few days and sent an email to my specialist asking the status on getting my appointment scheduled. A week later I have yet to hear from Dr. ******** office. I then contacted SW medical today to find out what’s going on….. over an hour on hold to not get a response and to hear they have not received the authorization and that their back office still has not updated my chart with any information. I asked to speak to the person in the back office that handles the authorization and I was told they were busy, I then asked to talk to the supervisor of the back office to see if they could assist me and was told they are busy as well. I then asked to speak with a manager and was sent to SW customer experience line and the lady told me that she would look into it and call me back. I asked when and she could not give me an answer. I then stated I would hold while she did. She told me ok then take care put me on hold and did not come back. For a company that’s message to the public that’s states care now when you need it, apparently does not apply to getting actual care or service from its providers or being able to talk to someone who is actually willing to do their job and help.

      If I could give them negative stars I would. I called to discuss an affordable payment plan and let them know what i can pay. They said that wasn't enough, and I have continued to just make payments (and they take the payments). They still sent me to collections and dropped my score by 40 points. I have emailed them 26 times and called with no response or calls back.

      I went to urgent care with a mass on my breast. I have a history of breast cancer. They ordered a STAT CT scan well the doctor ordered it chest not breast CT. So, I was radiated & given contrast & the breast was not on the images. I contacted Southwest Medical & a man named Zackery was supposed to be sure I didn't get a bill for this exam that had to be repeated correctly. Well guess what I got a bill & now cannot reach Zackery at all. I refuse to pay a $100 copay for exam that did not show my breast with the mass. They are threatening to turn me to collection. I cannot find anyone to help me with this, It is a shame to have to deal with this stress when you are ill.

      I have been with Optum/Southwest for over 10 years, trying to get pain medication refilled is a joke, I have 7 herniated disks so I have severe chronic back pain, they make you wait even if you contact them 48 hours in advance I once waited 2 weeks I am disabled so it’s the most affordable but I sometimes think I should have gone a different direction, they make me feel like I am addicted even though they have been giving the medication for over 10 years that’s called dependency. Not only that they make constant errors and don’t get me started on holding on the telephone for ever, even on their special social security hotline, I have a blood cancer too, their cancer center lacks too!

      Southwest Medical presured me hard to pay my annual physical lab test. Annual physical is covered 100% by my insurance. Southwest Medical is a part of Opumcare, which is part of ****************. If your insurace company is part of ****************, such as ****** ****** and ****, ***, etc., you may not want to use Southwest Medical, since they will send you the bills for doctors office visit and put incorrect lab code on your lab test order FOR YOUR ANNUAL PHYSICAL/PREVENTATIVE CARE, and ask you to pay the bills.

      I went to urgent care located on 888 s. Rancho dr. for lower back pain. They first told me I had to wait 3 hours. After 3 hours, they put me in a room for more than 1 hour. When I asked how soon a doctor is coming, they just kept telling me I just had to wait and couldn't tell me when. Do you southwest medical know the meaning of urgent care?

      I might be able to make an appointment at my primary care at the Pecos location if someone would answer the phone. Was placed on hold for 38 minutes and finally gave up. Guess I’ll get my meds renewed when I end up in urgent care or the hospital ER with hypertensive crisis as I was trying to get an appointment to renew my antihypertensive prescription. I won’t be using this healthcare plan as my secondary when I’m able to go on Medicare next year. I did not want to leave even a star for rating.

      I am beyond frustrated with the lack of support from the staff at the Southwest Medical Oakey location (4750 W Oakey Blvd, Las Vegas, NV 89102). They have repeatedly failed to handle essential tasks for my husband and me, with significant consequences for his health. Prior authorizations take weeks or even months, and only after Dr. ******** personally called me on a Friday night to have me walk him through the process was it finally resolved. Our portal messages go unanswered for weeks, and we have zero confidence in this team’s ability to handle our medical care.
      My husband, after six years of serious medical issues, was finally approved to see specialists in Los Angeles. Due to the lack of follow-through from the Oakey staff, he missed this critical appointment. Every interaction requires constant follow-up because forms aren’t completed, messages are ignored, and prior authorizations are mishandled. Reaching someone by phone is nearly impossible, and when we finally do, we’re often met with attitude as if we’re wrong to be frustrated.
      The real shame is that Dr. ******** is an amazing physician, and the only reason we’ve stayed this long, despite the disgrace of his office staff. His kindness is invaluable, but sadly, it’s no longer enough to keep us. We now have to start over with a new provider because Southwest Medical’s administrative staff fail daily in even basic tasks, and I fear their negligence could ultimately jeopardize my husband’s life.
      We feel completely unwanted as patients. This lack of accountability and care is beyond unacceptable, and every time we voice a complaint, we’re met with indifference. I plan to file complaints on every available platform, as we can no longer accept that this level of carelessness is allowed to continue.

      call for a rutine yearly OBGY appt, was book with a new RN no problem took the appt.
      now I received a 433.00 bill call and was advice by the SW rep that this Dr was not a provider and insurance denied payment, when I explain to rep why was I not advice of this at time of appt, she just went on circles, I have call the billing departments for days and no answer waited 40-50 and 63 minutes and no answer
      I even call the regular number and the representive also was not able to get a supervisor on the line for me.
      I have used SWM since 2005 and never had this problem

      Called me to set up an appointment for a “yearly” check up for insurance. They told me appointment was setup at my primary doctors office. I go to appointment at doctors office and about a week later I get bill in mail. Didn’t make any sense because I had Medicare and Medicaid. Call primary doctor asking what bill was about and they told me it was a different medical group appointment and realized appointment was made by mistake. The billing department at primary doctor office said they will take care of the mistake. I hear nothing for whole year and receive letter in mail today from collection company. Collection company won’t give phone number and says to call Medicare. I call Medicare and they try to help but can’t get a hold of anyone with southwest medical associates. They contact my insurance providers and they have no record of bill. I feel this is a medical scam. Still waiting again for answers all parties say they’ll call me back
