I would like to file an official complaint and seek a resolution to my situation with this auto repair shop, which has caused me extreme stress and anxiety. Let me start by providing the name of the repair shop, as they operate under two different names. The first one I visited was USA Auto Service, located at ******************************************** 11/23, I initially went in for a smog check for my vehicle and was informed that my brake fluid reservoir was leaking and needed to be replaced. I spoke with a technician named ****, who showed me where it was leaking and asked if I wanted to get the repair done. I mentioned that I wasnt sure if they accepted my warranty, and he offered to check for me. They called my warranty company, and the repair was approved. I left my vehicle there, and the repair was completed in three days. I picked up my car on 11/26.However, I soon noticed an oil leak in my driveway. I immediately called the shop while I was at work and was told to bring the vehicle back in. Upon returning, I was informed that it was an oil seal issue, which **** explained could happen due to the vacuum releasing too much pressure during the previous repair. I questioned why this potential issue wasnt mentioned earlier or checked before I picked up my car. **** said he would need to contact my warranty company again to see if the oil cooler gasket set was covered and asked me to send a copy of my warranty contract. The repair estimate included:Oil cooler gasket set Recover and recharge A/C system Remove and replace oil cooler gasket This was on 12/3, and I didnt get my car back until 12/12. During this time, I repeatedly called the shop, and they claimed they were waiting on my warranty company. Frustrated with the delay, I contacted my warranty company directly and discovered that no one from the repair shop had submitted a claim for the repairover a week. Explanation letter attached. Not enough room to explain.Initial Complaint

Business nameUSA Auto Services *************************************** . Date of transaction10/14:2024 Amount spent ***** *********** change I drove in for a regular oil change in my car that had no other mechanical problems and was in able to drive away. They completely fried my transmission only being able to go in reverse. I had to get it towed away to a different mechanic shop to get looked at that verified they purposely put oil in my transmission because I didnt want to buy tires from them because I had a warranty at ******* for new tires. They tried to tell me I needed to apply for a finance loan thru their company which was never processed to confirm they even applied for it They wanted me to spend another 3000 on a new transmission when my car was perfectly running beforehand my car gets the routine maintenance every 3000 miles along with new battery. They do not want to take accountability for their actions and my car insurance will not cover the damages they caused. They owe me a new car or the money to replace the transmission. I will not trust them under the hood of any car. I couldnt even drive out of their parking lot. My tires were fine as well when I got there and back tire was cut in order for them to ask me to buy new ones. Mechanic got mad talking very horribly to me because I wasnt going to buy tires. The point at hand is my transmission was fine in good condition beforehand untill they put oil in my transmission and tried to cover their tracks but tightening my oil cap while I was standing right there. 6 different other mechanics confirmed they messed it up I was statements to confirm fluid was tested as wellBusiness Response

This vehicle visited the repair facility for a standard oil change on 10/14/2024. At the time, the vehicle received a complimentary visual inspection with its completed on every vehicle. The service advisor reviewed the repairs with the customer. It was documented on the oil change invoice #***** that the 2010 *** with180,598 miles driven was recommended several vehicle repairs and general maintenance services either by age, mileage and basic wear and tear. The items were a full fluid service drain and refill, transmission fluid, coolant, brake fluid and power steering fluid. The front and rear brakes & rotors needed to be replaced. The front suspension struts and rear shocks were on the list. The drive belt along with the radiator hoses. Separately, there was a transmission service recommended. Which means the technician saw an issue with the fluid (dirty) and recommended the service to clean it to assist with the proper functionality. The total was $3839.92 in total. That means the vehicle needs a ** *************** we were privileged to hear the details of the conversation that transpired that day with the service technician. The list of these parts and services says that the vehicle requires some TLC and immediately at that. The total was $3839.92 in total. That means the vehicle needed a ** visit! After reviewing the CARFAX History Report, it was discovered the vehicle was driven ****** miles and only had (3) oil changes during that period. Oil changes should be made every ***** miles or (3) months (whichever first occurs). The vehicle should have at least (10) oil changes.
Often, we assume because a vehicle is turning on and driving every day that everything is OK. We must maintain the health of our vehicle with fresh fluids and part replacements as recommended by the manufacturer to keep the vehicle operating and performing at the highest level of duration. USA Auto Service is not responsible for any damage or future repairs on the vehicle due to the service maintenance neglect by the vehicle's owner.
Kind regards,

On August 5, 2024 we took in my 2017 pathfinder to have it checked out due to check engine light was flashing on and off. This is after the fact we had them do a major tune up on the vehicle that cost me $1400.00. I was advised by the manager of the shop **** that we needed to have the engine replace due to other factors. I have financed the engine replacement that cost me $8500. **** stated that the work will be done between 3-5 business days (Which did not happen and no communication from the shop). After a days of calling to follow up on the status, **** has stated that the parts that was ordered was wrong and that it would take another week and had advised me that he will let me know as soon as possible and will have it expediate. We took the car home on 8/16/2024 thinking everything is okay. On 8/20, I called the shop and spoke to **** to let him know that the check engine light has turned on again and will be dropping off the car the following morning. Today 8/21/2024 I spoke to the mechanic *******, and he stated that the diagnostic to the problem was now a Transmission and mass flow air sensor issue, which was not on the original diagnosis. I feel that the shop had failed me in many ways just to get paid and being deceptive on all the work that was supposedly been fixed on my vehicle just to have me come back and charge me with other work that needs to be done.Business Response

These repairs were completed to specification at USA Auto Service #8. This repair was an extensive labor service, we committed hours to. The removal and replacement of the engine block and transfer of other part components. This repair is basically open-heart surgery for cars. The customer has returned to the repair facility on 08/22/2024 for a complimentary inspection of the previous repair work. The customer received a sensor, the *** = mass air flow sensor at no cost to the customer for the "check engine light". This sensor was an unrelated issue to the engine repair. All repairs completed at *** Auto Service are covered under full warranty for 12 months or ****** miles (whichever first occurs). If for some reason our mutual customer is having any issues with the recent engine repair. He can return anytime.Customer Answer

I am rejecting this response because: we were charged for the Mass Air Flow Sensor that they stated we did not pay for.

I took my car to USA Auto Service #8 for an oil change on 7-10-2024 upon return for pick up of my car I was told I needed a substantial amount of work done on my car, I informed them I just had engine replacement a few months before ********************* the manager ended up pressuring me to finance the work to be done although I didn't need to do so but to get parts and things quicker he said that financing was the way to go and that I could pay it off when I picked my car up. So after many delays on behalf of USA Auto Service I ended up getting my car back way after the deadlines I was quoted by *********************, ****, and ***** whom are all shop managers, I got my car back 7-23-2024 and was taking it back to USA Auto Service #8 on 7-24-2024 due to it shaking uncontrollably and the engine light coming right away when I got in it on 7-23-2024 at the time of pick up I paid them $5,250 to fix the issue's with my car and they didn't. After giving them my car back on 7-24-2024 I didn't get my car back until 7-30-2024. On 7-31-2024 I was on the phone with USA Auto Service because the car was smoking and they claimed it was a gasket and that it was fixed. On 8-1-2024 my car was being towed to USA Auto Service #8 because it was smoking. On 8-5-2024 called up to USA Auto Service #8 and was given the run around called up the next day 8-6-2024 and talked to ********************* whom was trying to avoid telling me they blew my engine, I contacted the garage that did my previous engine work (****'s Auto) and informed them of the situation they then informed me that they would get the car from USA Auto Service #8 and do a thorough diagnosis on the car. Instead of USA Auto Service giving them my car they held it and refuse to give it to the tow truck driver on 8-8-2024 and 8-9-2024. ****'s Auto was able to pick my car up 8-12-2024. There hasn't been no type of accountability or rectifying jester on behalf of USA Auto Service #8. As of present day I've been informed my engine was blown due to foam.Initial Complaint

On Tuesday June 25th I was trying to head back home when my truck wouldn't start in the morning, it cranked about three times and then stopped. I was recommended by a mobile mechanic to go to *** auto #8 to have my starter replaced. When I went there, they told me/showed me that my engine is locked up, they recommended to take the top end off to see what was going on. After doing so, they showed me that the timing was "broken". They pulled me into paying full for a new engine/labor before anything was even done. ******* (the manager) kept promising dates that the engine would be swapped by and even promised me that workers would stay late to get the job done on time no later than Saturday the 29th, since I told him that I can't afford to stay any longer in ***** and would create different options for myself to get home if it wouldn't be done on the timeline he was promising. He ended up leaving before closing time on the 29th without me seeing and kept making up lies as to why the engine has not arrived yet and why he had to leave when I came back on July 1st. I then talked to **** about the situation and he ended up only refunding me $5000 of the $6800 I paid. He kept $1800 since I paid $1800 in cash and knew it couldn't be traced. My parents flew out and we rented a 16ft box truck to get home to ********. After bringing my truck to a trusted mechanic back home, we realized what had truly happened, my ac compressor locked up making it seem that the engine was locked up. When they guys at *** auto #8 took the top off and saw nothing was wrong with the timing, they intentiaonlly hammered/pryed the chain off the sprocket to make it look like it was junk. All the pictures included show the marks from them doing this and show nothing was wrong with the engine (rods being bent) like they said since I had the timing replaced and the engine runs great! The fuze blew when I was trying to crank the truck from the ac compressor being locked up. They ruined my timing!Initial Complaint

6/3/2024 Out of pocket cost $150.00 Plus a loan they approved me for to get the car repaired $350.They was only suppose to repair my supertem belt and then the ** **** said that my breaks and rooters were bad and needed to be replaced which I had already had new breaks and rooters put on less then 6 months ago and he told me they were bad and he showed me the rooters after they were removed which I now do believe he showed me someone elses rooters. Since then I have rubbbing of my rooters and issues with my breaks in which I have taken it back 2 times and the issue is still happening. I called **** today 7/8/2024 he played on the phone refusing to give me the business information. He also will not tell me if they still have my rooters and breaks in which he stated they do in a prior call. This place is so unprofessional and stealing money from people causing them to continue to have to bring their vehicles back for them to charge you more money.Initial Complaint
