      Hi,
      My Maserati was damaged by one of the technicians and the general manager of that location has acknowledged the damage done by their technician. The general manager of that location where incident happened has sent me to a body shop saying that they will fix the damage. But when actually they needed to fix the damage, the district manager refuses to do so. Now I am left with a damage on my Maserati and Sun Auto refuses to fix it. I will take legal action against the company.

      Wish I could give -zero- stars!!!
      My husband and I took our 2019 Chrysler 300 due to an engine light that came on. Prior to our visit, my husband performed a diagnostic with the unit he has here at home, and got the reading that the thermostat needed attention.
      We proceeded to Sun Auto, left the car with them to get a professional opinion and diagnostic. We received a text message of the computerized diagnostic stating it was the thermostat and we need two rear tires. We also received a phone call from the service advisor to give us the diagnosis. We were told that the thermostat housing and oil housing were defective - which would cost us approximately $2300. My husband and I immediately looked at each other in disbelief, not understanding how 1) it could cost so much - seeing that we looked up the parts cost. 2) why we were being told the car was leaking oil, and there had never been a trace of an oil leak, which would have been discovered when we just had the oil changed 2-weeks prior.
      We responded to the service person that we would pick up our car and get a second opinion elsewhere. The service advisor offered us to apply for credit to pay for the cost twice on the phone call. We refused twice.
      Fast forward to today (7/22/25)...
      We took the car to another mechanic/service center, left if for diagnostic. We received the call from the mechanic stating it was the thermostat... and nothing else. The mechanic proceeded with the work and gave us a cost that was a small fraction of what we were quoted at Sun Auto. We would have been minus over $2K and possibly a vehicle that was not repaired correctly.
      WARNING: Be aware of the inflation of repair cost from this place. My next step is to report them to the Better Business Bureau so that their bad business practices can be investigated.

      MY BUDDY AND I WENT FRIDAY, 6/13/25, AT AROUND NOON TO FIND WHAT WAS WRONG WITH MY 2017 MITSUBISHI MIRAGE G4. ONE OF THE MECHANICS, JAMES, TOLD ME IT NEEDED TO BE CHECKED BY DIAGNOSTIC FEE $165 AND DOESN'T KNOW WHEN IT WILL BE DONE. AND WILL CALL ME. BUT HE NEVER CALLED.
      I HAVE TO CALL AT 5 PM AND STILL DIDN'T HAVE AN ANSWER AND PROMISED AGAIN TO CALL AT 5:30 PM OR THE NEXT DAY. THEY HAD MY CAR OVERNIGHT. I DID NOT RECEIVE A CALLBACK. I DECIDED TO GO THERE THE NEXT DAY TO FIND OUT WHAT WAS GOING ON WITH MY CAR. THEY STILL DIDN'T HAVE AN ANSWER FOR ME AND SAID THEY WOULD LET ME KNOW. THEY FINALLY CALLED ME AT 3 PM AND SAID THAT THE TRANSMISSION FLUID WAS NOT SHOWING ON THE DIPSTICK. THEY TOLD ME THEY WILL BRING MY CAR TO TRANSMISSION SPECIALIST/SHOP AND QUOTED ME THE PRICE OF $6,000. I DECLINED AND THEY STILL CHARGED ME $165 FOR JUST DIAGNOSTICS. WHEN I RETURNED HOME, I FILLED THE TRANSMISSION FLUID AND THE CAR HAS BEEN WORKING FINE EVER SINCE.

      DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH INCOMPETANT CROOKS! I just learned that they installed the wrong gas tank in my 1991 Cadillac Sedan Deville. With this, the fuel pump was not operating correctly. The pressure in the tank built up to the point where it was crushing the tank from within.
      Also, their incompetency almost had me junking this classic car. Several months ago I lost the radiator fluid and had the car towed to Sun Auto. After replacing the radiator along with the idle speed control motor ( which I've had to replace because it was faulty and causing the car accelerate on it's own) they told me that the head gasket was shot and due to the age of the car it could not be fixed. With this, i needed to junk the car.
      So I bought a car and after telling the GM at the dealership my car story, he recommended that, before junking this classic car, I should take it to Atomic Motors and have them take a look at it. I did this, had it towed from Sun Auto to Atomic Motors. They discovered that the problem was the censer that controlled the radiator fan to spin was not working. Since the fan was not working it caused the radiator to over heat and lose all it's fluid. They fixed the problem.
      Now I had to return the car I just bought only to find out that I can't simply return it, after having it a couple of days, but they can buy it back at an $8,000 loss to me.
      One more thing. After Sun Auto put new brakes on the car, Atomic Motors discovered that the brake lines needed to be replaced. One completely broke while at their shop. This could have been very bad if I was driving it at the time.
      Of course, when I addressed these concerns with management at Sun Auto, they refused to take any responsibility.

      BUYER BEWARE. This shop is a trap filled with unqualified mechanics. I bought my car here in June 2024 for a small coolant leak. They said it was water pump so changed it($900) over priced Then when I picked it up and took it literally up the street the overheat light went to red so I took it back afraid I was gonna blow my engine and they said it wasn’t their fault but now I needed a new thermostat so got that fixed another $1200( over priced). But still got the car back kept in for a month and then small leak again so took it back and was told all the tubing in the coolant system needed to be replaced for $3000! After that I didn’t trust them so took it to another shop who showed me that the water pump nor thermostat were ever replaced or were terrible aftermarket parts with no serial numbers or anything but they both had huge cracks in them. I have pictures of the parts removed! I know it’s tough for me to get my money back BUT hoping to save other people from being cheated out of $2k. The new shop charged me $1200 for both including labor and they were genuine OEM parts. No more leaks and they never found these “new leaks” that was supposedly another $3k! RUN AS FAR AS YOU CAN FROM THIS SUN AUTO

      I went to suns auto after I was told by triple A that I needed a new engine I told Mario at suns auto that I needed a new engine . They did their check and said I didn’t need a new engine it was the head gasket so I said if your sure to go head and fix it .. they had my car for 2 months when I got it back soon as I left their parking lot the engine comes on . Which they knew it would come on they turned it off and let me leave with the engine light on and my car was making a noise . I took it back they didn’t do nothing to help me but told me to drive 50 miles which by me driving just made my car worse . They put the machine on it and just said it was giving them a bunch of code but did nothing to fix. I ask about the sound they said but aleast it’s running like wtf. .. engine light never went off my car got worse the sound got louder they already knew the problem but just kept lying to me.. I took it to auto zone and they told me the exact problem like how auto zone tell me what’s wrong but a car shop can’t is crazy and it was a who.. I also took it to another sun auto and they told me straight up I need another engine.. so I took it back to suns auto and they finally told me I need another engine like they didn’t know that the whole time .. they had to do a engine tear down when they had my car for two months and said they only checked the top and the bottom but come to find out when u do a engine test down you check the whole engine not just the top so that another lie they told me .. I payed them 3600 out my pocket and still no help . I called customer service and they said the district manager would call me it’s been 2 weeks no call or nothing .. they trying act like because my warranty was denied that they couldn’t fix it which is another lie.. if the warranty didn’t cover i pay out of pocket just like i did so that’s not the case .. I was offer to use the money I gave them toward a engine by the store manager but I just want my money back ..much more to say

      Just need to give a shout-out regarding the service I received from Sun Auto located at 7350 S Buffalo Drive. I initially was assisted by Mario who opened a 'ticket' for me. My car had 'died' on me. Not knowing anything about cars or any reputable mechanics, the decision to go with Sun Auto was easier as I knew they are BBB accredited.
      Both my car and I 'limped' in, where I was greeted and promptly put at ease. I left my car and within a couple of hours, Phil was on the phone explaining what was going on with my vehicle. I did have a service warranty that needed further explanation for my understanding and costs.
      Well to my surprise, my car was done and I was able to retrieve it a few hours later. It is once again a dependable ride! Thank you.
      I will be back for future servicing to keep my vehicle in check - peace of mind for this senior woman !

      If I could give less stars I would. I went originally to the location on St Rose where they told me nothing was wrong with my car and sent me on my way while the car was turning off and stalling at literally every stop. I chalked it up to inexperience at one location and tried another location on Stephanie where they told me the entire engine needed to be replaced and I would be 14 weeks without my vehicle. When I informed them that I was picking it up for a 2nd opinion they became angry and argumentative and by the time I got my car back from them every warning light was on, the vehicle would not accelerate daytime running lights was disconnected and there was put out cigarettes on the floor of my car and their clipboard of paperwork thrown in the backseat. I'm more anngry about the cigarette in my vehicle than I am about the original vehicle issues. Absolute criminals attempting to take advantage of extended warranty funds. Meanwhile I paid a $250 deductible for them to leave my car in worse condition than it started.

      I took my car to Sun Auto on January 26, 2024 looking to repair my shocks on my 2017 Buick Lacrosse spoke to sales person Chris he confirmed to me that Sun auto could repair my car. I was told that I had to pay upfront for the repairs, I explained to sales person Chris that I needed my Struts done as well. I paid this company ($3,137.23) for both repairs. Sun Auto unsuccessful in completing any of the repairs after several lies and broken promises regarding locating the parts. after dropping my car off from being at the shop all day was told that they could not repair my Buick. Frank another sales person said that Chris the sales manger said that they will refund me due to not being able to locate the parts. Today as we speak I have not received my refund "NOT A DIME" I have been lied to since January 26, 2024. I am a senior just retired and I get my money taken from me and have fight to get it back! this is unacceptable on any and all levels I want my money back......please help me find a resolution to this issue as as possible, this has created a lot of stress and financial hardship.       This review is specifically addressed to Sun Auto Services at 4539 Blue Diamond Rd Las Vegas, Nevada 89139.
      They are theft!!!
      On 12/15/2023, I went alone to this auto shop for oil changed. After 30mins waiting, the front desk person, called me and informed me, that my jeep patriot thermostat is badly leaking, will cost $900 to fix it. I don't understand about car issues, so I called my husband and had technician, Mr Martin explained the issues. My husband, mostly understand cars and disputed the issues because we dont see any leaking marks on floor of our garage. And, dont smell like smoky.
      I took my car home charged me $45 for oil changed w/o setting up my next oil changed indicator. They did not even top off the liquid reservoir, as normally shops do.
      The next day, my husband a d I took my car for check diagnostic, and they both agree, no leaking in my car thermostat and don't smell something burning as cases like.
      If I had just let them do the problem, I could had been robbed $900 that day!!! What a theft they are, they new Management, had this bad reputation!
