Sierra air conditioning and plumbing seems to be a very predatory business. Obviously we know nothing about AC but they won't quote you any price, any labor hour or anything. They tell me its $89 for someone to come out but can't tell me anything past that. Technician named ****** comes out. He is EXTREMELY professional and courteous. I have nothing but nice things to say about him. I ask him a bit about pricing. He tells me it depends but if its something small its usually within the $89 fee for them to come out there but it depends. I say ok. He goes to my attic and is in there for maybe 2 minutes before my A/C comes back on. Then I hear him on the phone, I would assume this is his supervisor. He comes down and then tells me that he had to replace a fuse and now the charge will be an additional $207. $207 for a $4 fuse from any hardware store. I definitely understand that there is expertise involved in this but $207 for a $4 part seems a little excessive and I would consider something small. I then asked what it would be to replace the two smart NV energy thermostats with Amazon thermostats that I already bought. He told me it would run around $1000...... This place is just a rip off and is looking to take advantage of people. Nothing reasonable. ****** was excellent, but you can just tell even he can't believe the prices. He never said that, but you can see that he knows $207 PLUS $89 for a total of $296 to replace a $4 part in 3 minutes is extremely excessive. I will NEVER recommend this horrible company. They are looking to rip people off.
