    My family was a renting from McKenna property management for 3 years had a great introduction and while we were renting we had a few issues. First issues is the house had a scent of cigarette smoke from previous tenants that were apparently squatting in the home from what neighbors told us when we moved in. Carpets were severely matted and stained on the downstairs as well as the main bedroom and stairs. The ice maker was cracked in the center of the ice bucket so ice would just fall through if you had ice making. Amongst other minor issues with every shower drain being clogged with black flakes coming up when you showered and FULL of hair. Anything under $100 we would be expected to fix per McKenna property. Got not a problem we addressed the carpet and odor by getting the carpets professionally cleaned once we moved in, cleaned the drains and made due with just getting our own ice maker. Had a few complaints with the oven missing a panel McKenna took care of that. Great job was super fast and efficient. Had a couple issues with rug nails tearing socks and puncturing my daughter’s foot. They sent people out to fix that by hammering down nails in the tac strip. Happens a few more times my daughter gets a larger laceration almost needing a to stitches. We felt completely ripped off in the end receiving $202 back from a $2,500 deposit. Absolutely do not agree whatsoever with this decision. Completely mishandled situation even after I tried reaching out.

    I am continually impressed with the amount of professional service offered to the property owners and residents by the McKenna team. There isn’t anything they haven’t thought of and they are always doing research on the real estate market to stay informed. Every issue I’ve had with my condo has been taken care of immediately. As a landlord, I have complete confidence in every detail that is handled for me and I’m very pleased with the relationship I have with them. I am always referring them to people who need a property manager. They are the best I’ve ever seen. I have used them for nearly 5 years now and am so grateful to have found them. Thank you McKenna Team.

    If you're considering renting from or entrusting McKenna Property Management Company to manage your property, think again. My experience with them has been nothing short of frustrating and disappointing.
    When I moved into the property, I noticed pre-existing damage. Despite documenting this and notifying the company, McKenna charged me for the same damage upon move-out. They did not allow me to attend the walkthrough during either the move-in or move-out process, which violates Nevada Revised Statute (NRS) 118A.520. This statute gives tenants the right to request and attend a walkthrough to assess the property's condition and address potential issues.
    This lack of transparency and accountability is deeply concerning. As a tenant, you deserve to know exactly what you're being charged for and to have the opportunity to dispute charges based on pre-existing conditions.
    For those considering McKenna Property Management:
    Document Everything: Take photos and videos of the property before move-in and after move-out. Save all communications with the company.
    Insist on a Walkthrough: It’s your legal right under NRS 118A.520. Don’t let them deny you this critical step.
    Know Your Rights: Familiarize yourself with Nevada landlord-tenant laws to protect yourself from unjust charges or practices.
    This experience has taught me the importance of diligence when dealing with property management companies. Unfortunately, McKenna Property Management Company has proven unreliable and untrustworthy in handling tenants fairly. Proceed with caution!

    I’ve only been renting this home for going on 10 months. It was a new build with a ton of problems. Every time I issued a meld for repairs I either got the run around or no response until I complained. Nonetheless, everything that I put in for repair my husband and I had to physically call the subcontractor our self to get things scheduled and get repaired. One example is we told them the tree when we moved in was completely bent over and breaking. They got a tree company to come out and the only thing they did was chop the branch off that was hanging down. We could’ve done that ourselves and now the tree is growing Incorrectly Oh well. That’s on them. Another time they kept telling me the subcontractor is not responding or returning their calls and texts. In the meantime, as I received those messages, we had already had the contractor out within an hour and a half to fix our air conditioner. Took them six days and still crickets! Like the old saying goes, if you would like something done correctly, you do it yourself.

    All of my deposit was returned except for $308, many agencies do their best to not return any of your money no matter how much you take care of the property but overall I was treated fairly

    I am thankful to have wonderful managers to manage my rental. They always fix all the issues. My tenant is happy I hope. They take care of everything. I have peace of mind knowing that they will handle every issues that arises. Thank you Jenni and the whole McKenna Team for doing a great job for me.
