Yardmasters of America installed fescue sod in my backyard on 4/23/2022. ***** told me how much and how often to water the grass which I followed completely. He instructed me when to cut the grass and at what height. The grass looked good till about 3 1/2 months. I contacted via text the owner ***** Durham on 8/2/2022 that there was a lot of ******* coming up and brown sections. I suggested he come out to look at the backyard grass. I have reached out several time for him to look at the backyard. (8/4/2022, 8/25/2022, 9/1/2022) It has excessive amount of *******. I sent pictures each time I texted him . He did come to my house, without me being available, and took a picture of the front yard on 9/1/2022 and stated the ******* was because I use the same mower for the front and the back and that is why the *******. He never looked at the backyard. I text to ***** at Yardmasters on 9/6/2022 and 9/13/2022 so that I could talk to him and he could see the backyard. He did not respond but sent me a picture of my front yard. The backyard is 50% ******* which is unacceptable. I have had two landscaping companies come to look at the backyard and they both were amazed at the condition of the yard since it was new sod put in on 4/23/2022. Both companies said it was because inadequate soil preparation and inadequate top soil quality. The bids to redo the backyard are $2200 from *************** and $2800 from ******* ************* I am requesting a refund of $2200 from Yardmaster so I can replace the sod.
