I would not recommend DJP Ability Contracting LLC due to the fact that ***** ******* was paid in full and has not finished the job ***** called me on 9/24/25 & came to my home on the 26th. He quoted me a price of $3,600.00 to cement the center part of my back yard. Prior to his price quote, I had mentioned that I had saved $4,000.00 & that was all that I had for this project. He mentioned that he would extend the cement closer to the sides of my back yard and would round off the estimate to $4,000.00 and I agreed. On Friday, 9/26 his crew started the work on & removed some of the gravel and large piles of dirt, and placed the dirt on my front lawn, and left it that way until the following Wednesday, Oct.1st, which is when I texted ***** to remove the dirt from my front yard. He and his crew came over to remove the dirt from my front yard, and also laid down the cement. ***** then told me that he underestimated this job and it would cost another $500.00. I am retired and I explained that I received my Social Security on the 3rd, so I wrote him a check for another $500.00 dated for the 3rd of October. I had paid him in full because the job was about 90% completed, however I have not seen him since and it is now October 18th. The cement is uneven and he left piles of gravel off to the side of my house. He had said that he would even out all the gravel and he did not. He also did not lay down any cement behind my shed. We had to buy cement to add it to the back of the shed. He also left his wheel barrel along with all the tarps and extra dirt behind. On Oct. 6th I had asked him to pick up his wheel barrel and on Oct 9th he said that he had a rough couple of days and his sister could pick it up unless I could wait for him. The wheel barrel has a flat tire and it is very heavy with the dirt and a tarp, so I thought it may be too heavy for her, so I said that I can wait for him. He still has not picked up his stuff.

    Business Response

    Date: 11/04/2025

Verbal Response: I spoke with the consumer and explained the delay of picking up the wheel barrel. She did not mention to me of any issues and was happy with the work. Her brother came out when the wheelbarrow was picked up and said they were happy with the work. And he had used the extra dirt to make a garden.

    Complaint: ID ********

I am rejecting this response because: ***** ******* claims that he spoke with me and that I told him that I was happy with his work. I didn't even speak with him, and I am very dissatisfied with his work. He left my back yard a mess, and it is my brother and I that are completeing the work he did not. ***** did speak with my brother, *****, and ***** explained why all the dirt was removed from the wheel barrel and my brother never told him that he was happy with Damons work. In fact ***** complimented my brother on the work my brother had done. Saturday, 11/1, I saw some people at the house where ***** was working on over a month ago, and asked what happend to *****, and i explained that I paid him and he abandoned the job at my house. The older gentleman said he would talk to him. The original pictures I sent to the BBB is how ***** left my yard. It is my brother and I that are completing this work. Not to mention, we are senior citizens, and my brother hurt his back lifting all the rocks they left behind, therefore it is taking us much longer to complete, where ***** and his crew could have completed this job in about 4 hours. By the way, as I was paying him, he asked me if I wanted a receipt. This man is unethical and it should be on record that his buisnes practices are unethical. He needs to acknowledge his wrong doings. I would hate for this to happen to anyone else.

    Regards,
