My elderly parents hired All Roofing Enterprises, LLC., to install a silicone seamless roof system on their home. The work was completed in July 2018 and included a 5-year no leak warranty. In 2022 (year 4 of the warranty), a leak occurred over the garage roof, which resulted in damage to the interior ceiling. An inspection of the roof indicated that the silicone coating had peeled off over the garage. During the inspection, the silicone coating was found to be peeling off in other areas of the roof. I intervened on my parents' behalf and in January 2023 contacted Mr. Ferbie C***** regarding the areas where the silicone coating was peeling off the roof. Mr. C***** initially indicated that since a roof mounted air conditioning unit had been replaced a couple of years after the silicone coating had been applied to the roof, the warranty for the entire roof was void. However, he also indicated that he would repair the areas where the silicone coating was peeling off for a fee. The warranty paperwork does not support Mr. C*****'s claims. Additionally, the areas where the silicone coating is peeling off were not near the air conditioning unit and were on separate sections of the roof. After much back and forth communication, Mr. C***** finally agreed to repair the areas where the silicone coating was peeling off. In June 2023, they applied silicone coating to a portion of the garage roof area that had leaked. The interior ceiling of the garage that had been damaged by the roof leak was not repaired. No work was done to the other areas of the roof where the silicone coating was peeling off. I again contacted Mr. C***** regarding the other areas. Mr. C***** again attempted to avoid honoring the warranty by stating that the warranty was void, which is incorrect. After additional communication, he agreed to repair the other areas, but as of this time has not done so. The areas needing to be repaired are small and would likely take less than 2 hours of labor.Business response

Verbal Response: Consumers roof had been compromised. The canales showed signs of change and I asked what had happened. He said his son had gotten ice off of them. Also, they had a system and went to a smaller system and did not change that area. The other area I had looked at, I did say I would do that repair but I am not required to because they have voided their warranty. I have not had time to go back because of health issues of my mother and work has been busy. We are planning to go back in the next month.Customer response

I am rejecting this response because:
The owner's statements are incorrect. My father passed away over three years ago, so it's not possible that he spoke to my father regarding this matter. I am the son of Mr. **** and am representing my mom. I have done no work on the roof's canales. He states that the warranty was voided, but provides no explanation as to why. Furthermore, the warranty document contains no language regarding his claim. He indicates that he did agree to make the repairs, but is not required to do so because the warranty is voided. Again, no explanation. I have attempted to contact him multiple times to resolve this, but he has not responded.

We purchased a home in Albuquerque during May 2022 that All Roofing Enterprises reroofed September 2018, with a 5-year warranty (good until September 2023). Inspections during Escrow found Building Code violations in the roofing materials. During Escrow the Seller spoke with this Contractor to assure the warranty was transferrable, and provided us with copies of the original invoice and warranty. After living in this home one month, the roof is now leaking in several places and water is flowing into the house. Contractor did not respond after repeated calls, texts, and email attempts by us over several days. Today, after 4 days of calling, I received a text message saying the warranty is not transferrable, and that damage done by another inspector voided the warranty. This is unacceptable, and we would not have Closed on this house if we knew this during Escrow. We need this roof repaired immediately to stop water intrusion due to the current Monsoon season rains, and we need the interior water damage to this home repaired.
