My Son ******* *** was attending the medical school (****** ******* ** *********** ********) in Las Cruses and after one year of his medical school, he could not maintain a good academic performance and was administratively withdrawn from the school. In the meantime during the month of February he signed the lease for the next year beginning July 1, 2023 expecting he will continue his second year of school. His present lease expiring on 6/30/23. Since he cannot live in Las Cruses after being expelled from school, I brought him home in Michigan and requested the apartment management to withdraw his second year lease as he cannot live there anymore. The apartment management is refusing to withdraw his lease and want me to pay the rent even if he is not going to live there anymore. My request is that they can rerent the apartment to someone else and get my son out of lease but they do not agree. My argument with them is if the tenant moves out of the city and or buys a house, the apartment management let the tenant break the lease. I need BBB to help me get out of the lease for my son. I will appreciate your help. Thank you.
