    6/20/2022. We arrived at hotel and the front desk told us the air was out. And the pool and spa was down. We wanted the spa because my husband has a bad back and needs a spa to relax his back. The person at the desk said we could go to their sister hotel but their spa was down too. Or we could get a full refund. We had to contact Priceline and they would talk to hotel We did that. After 7 days I called Priceline back and the refund was denied. I have been trying to contact the manager by phone and email. No response. I told them I would be contacting you. I just want my $208.00. Can you help?

    DO NOT STAY HERE. It's a privately owned business and not up to par with other Howard Johnsons. The ACs weren't working so they provided portable units which didn't sufficiently cool the rooms. The floors of the rooms were dirty and the beds felt like there were crumbs in the sheets. We had to pull back the blankets and brush the sheets off. The bathroom tub looked grimey and dirty. In addition, the towels were very cheap and didn't feel like they're really washed, but rather put through a rinse cycle because they felt like sandpaper and had a musty smell. We decided against showers for these reasons. In one of our rooms the trash hadn't even been emptied. The coffee maker in one room was placed on the small sink area and the only plug was on the other side of the sink on a wall that the cord couldn't reach. We had to find a place to move it only to find that it didn't work. We had to use the coffee maker in the 2nd adjoining room we had. It was late when we checked in and we were tired after having spent the day traveling and then going to a memorial service. We decided to chock it up and didn't even complain about anything. When I returned home I found that I had been charged $221 for stained towels and ashes they claim were left in a bathroom trashcan. Nobody in our party smokes! The stain I assumed might have been makeup after having washed my face that is easily removed with 10 cents worth of detergent and bleach. However, as mentioned I'm sure that they don't properly launder their towels given their condition at check in. I've never been charged for having left makeup on a towel after washing my face at any other place I've lodged at. I called to dispute and the manager was extremely rude and repeatedly interrupted me. She insisted that we smoked in the room despite my telling her that nobody in our party are smokers. She got upset stating that my dispute implied that I was calling her housekeepers liars and she hung up on me.
