    Business Response

    Date: 11/13/2024

After a decade of doing business with Mrs. ****** and her verbal and mental abuse, we as a team came to the decision to terminate our professional/business relationship with this customer. We gave Mrs. ****** several different opportunities to resolve her many issues with us up until the day we picked up our tank. We tried calling her that morning to set up delivery and we were met with crude and vulgar language, she also has been very hateful and rude towards our staff members who speak with her and they get hung up on. This has been a constant with Mrs. ******. We always strive to give our customers the best service we can. We have been in business for over 40 years. To touch on the points mentioned in the customers complaint; prepaying for delivery has been strongly enforced over the last few years due to the outstanding balances we could not receive payment on. We do give out customers with good credit history some alternatives to payment such as, 1/2 payment upon ordering and 1/2 at a scheduled date or adding funds to their accounts at their convenience to use toward their order. About 90% of our customers are prepay only. In reference to company owned tanks, leased by our customers, we have all rights to our property which includes but is not limited to, service, maintenance, delivery, or tank pick up. We may also terminate service at any time, reasoning UN-given. All bills were paid by this consumer and promptly refunded the same day as the tank was removed. After seeing the defamation of our company that was posted on Facebook by Mrs. ******, it was stated that she had found a new company to service her. That morning we had a long deliberation with our management team that lead to the decision to remove the tank. We tried to notify the customer of the removal once our staff arrived to her home. Mrs. ****** proceeded to use vulgar language and hung up on them. Our staff removed the property and returned it to our yard. At the time of removal, there was still 35% left in the tank even though, the consumer stated she was out of propane and freezing. As for back dating bills; we do not do that! We are a family owned business and hold ourselves to a higher standard then these allegations. A lot of our customers this year had not received some of their statements in the mail. We are unsure as to why this is happening but we have been working with our customers to remove any late fees if it was a postal issue, as per kind request. It has been noted by the consumer that, "we use Quickbooks and our office manager needs to take a course on how to use it". We have not used that software for over a year and are now currently using a propane based system. We would like to point out the golden rule, "Treat others as you would like to be treated". We deeply apologize to anyone that has not had a good experience with us, as we strive to make sure our employees are kind and courteous. Our counter personnel go through a lot of good and bad and we are thankful to the dedication they, and the rest of our staff put in to uphold a good image for out company. We also appreciate our customers for their patronage, as we would not exist if it wasn't for them.
