December 12, 2021 we called Global Storage and asked if they had a 15x30 ft. unit. They stated that they did. On December 13, 2021 upon arriving to the facility I was told they did not have a 15x30, and that they have not had one available for 3 months. I settled on a smaller unit and I paid via debit card for a 15x15 storage unit. I paid a prorated about of $119.90 for the remainder of the month. The very next day I found a storage facility that had the actual size that I needed. We had not moved anything into the unit at Global Storage. We had not even secured the unit with a lock. I called back and spoke with the manager who stated that regardless of this circumstance he would not refund me any of my money. I was willing to pay him a prorated amount for the 2 days that I had kept the unit from other potential renters. However, he was very rude and stated "there is no way you are getting your money back." Since this interaction I looked at reviews, which I should have done prior. Lesson learned and I see now that this man has wronged so many hard working people. I hate to see this type of business being conducted in my neighborhood or hard working, middle class, blue collar, mainly people of color who are needing support and kindness in the form of integrity and honesty. This person has no place running a business if this is how he makes him money.Business response

Dear Mr. ********:
We first would like to apologize about the miscommunication about the 15X30 unit that was not available to you on December 13,2021 when you tried to move in. I talked to our associate at the Bridge location, who showed you the unit and then asked you to please read your lease and sign and date the last two pages. After she inputted the lease information into our computer, she explained the lease and asked you to please initial some areas of the lease. I have attached a copy of the lease for the BBB to review. On the top of page two in capitals it states no refunds. Line number 3 also states (all rental charges paid by the occupant under this agreement are non-refundable). Unfortunately, we (Global Storge) will not be able to refund money that was paid on December 13,2021 due to the signing of this contract. We are sorry about inconvenience that this may have caused you. I also let the manager of this location know to move you out because you have rented with another company.
