My experience with A1 storage had always been ok until now. My father in law has been a loyal tenant for probably right around 30 yrs. He has always rented multiple units not just one. He is a general contractor and this is where he has kept his tools and supplies needed for his work. This is where he has kept his lively hood. A couple of days ago he went like always to get everything needed for that day and that is when this nightmare began. One of his units was broken into. Now this is not the first time but it is the first time that he was treated in such a way that is just plain and simple not acceptable. He was treated with absolutely no respect from a person that claims he is one of the managers. They list on the website that there are camera. For what reason I don’t know. The “manager” refused to show the recording to us and when told that we were going to go file a police report the mangers response was “the police can ask to see it’. Then after a report is filed and for what again I have no idea. Now this is the holy grail of all this. The following day again my father in a law stops there first thing and he approaches the office which he notices the office door is propped open with a bolt. He stays there thinking this is strange and all of a sudden here comes Mr manager and he tells my father in law •oh Mr. —— you are really going to be upset but they hit your unit again lastnight. The strange thing is that this so called manager is never there early in the morning. I’m talking like 6 am maybe even earlier but the first day this all happened he just so happened to be there and was already changing the locks on the other units in that same isle that had been broken into. At 3 pm my father in law then get a phone call and it’s Mr. Manager wanting to inform him that there were several units that had been broken into. Why would he wait that long to inform customers? Something is just not lining up and I feel someone know good and well what went on.
