  I will not use them again. They quoted me ******* dollars on the phone to replace a gas valve for a new heater another dishonest company installed. They ended up charging me ******. I was willing to let it go at that, but when my charge from my debit card came through, they ended up charging a extra *****. Nowhere on their invoice did they mention they would charge such a high merchant fee, otherwise I would have paid them by check. BBB just protects them by not publishing negative reviews so they are not a source I will rely on and I pray nothing else I can't fix breaks. ****** *******, the owner said they would waive the fee after I use them to bring the heater up to code. I will not be using them for this. If you don't believe me, there are 2 other reviews on yelp stating the same thing. Another thieving predatory company taking advantage of poor people. I would not be surprised if the owner was a ***** voter, same type of sleeze.

  Mr. ***** we are sorry for your disappointment with our company. You had requested a verbal quote prior to ordering a gas valve with labor and freight for your new water heater that others broke when they installed. I even tried to get the warehouse to honor a warranty for you and then checked to see if the other company pulled a permit for their installation. I did mention I would have to pull a permit with the city - plus the water heater needs to be to code compliant. We did pull the permit that you mention the upcharge of $660.00 with tax. You were aware and approved the charges. As for the credit card fees they are calculated by amount purchased and that is processed with the merchant companies. My attempts to talk to you when you called over all this was unsuccessul. As for the internet (Yelp) some of those customers are not on our client list - anyone can enter and they don't follow up. BBB does follow up with reviews and are 100% legit. Four Star Mechanicals business has been based on referrals from our customers.

  The charge I approved per invoice was ******I was quoted 150 per hour and ***** for an additional hour to drain the tank so I was charged an additional ***** (total ****** labor) for that, plus a "transaction fee" on my debit card as explained by you for *****. My invoice is for ****** and I was charged ****** on my card. Again, I see nothing on the invoice that indicates that there is a transaction fee for using a debit card for *****. That being said is what really upset when you told me on the phone that you would waive this fee, but only on the condition that you do additional work for bringing bringing the heater up to code which I was told was basically a reinstall costing me thousands. When I called you I asked simply requested you to waive this fee and it should have been waived since there is nothing on the invoice that states this fee or otherwise I would have gladly handed over a check, unless you charge a fee for that too. I was willing to let go of the fact that you charged me extra for labor, which I could have lived with without making a complaint on BBB and not using you for further business. I would have gladly handed over a check to the plumber if I was aware of this. Again, there is nothing on the invoice that states this fee and offering to waive it on the condition I give you additional business to me amounts to extortion and it is highly dishonest and abusive. Also, I do not answer calls if I don't recognize a phone number so if you called me from a phone number I don't recognize and not your business phone and did not bother to leave a message, I would have never known you reached out. Your charges where, ****** for the gas valve, ***** for shipping, 300 labor and 100 00 for the permit fee which yes I was aware of. Also the unit cost for labor on the invoice is ****** so do you actually charge ****** per hour? If you are really willing to resolve these issues, which I have my doubts about I am willing to do so,

  Evelyn A****** contacted me on behalf of a third party regarding a leak in my main waterline entering my home. They were fast,efficient and extremely helpful when i tried to file a claim with the third party. They went above and beyond to fix the leak, find replacement parts and get the work done almost overnight. i would definitely call them again for my plumbing issues. Evelyn actually helped my husband and myself get reimbursed by the third party when she didn't have to do anything. i appreciate these people and their work ethic. definitely recommend them very highly.

  This company is excellent. They are honest and don't overcharge. They have also been on time and efficient. We have used them for multiple houses. They found the issues fast and fixed them same day.
