On 07/12/2023 I got an eye exam for a new prescription for glasses. I paid for the exam with Medicaid and paid the copay. After the exam I went online to my preferred website that I have bought glasses from before ***********************. Unknown to me the office that gave me my new prescription (Sandia Vision Clinic) they wrote down the wrong prescription. I ordered a pair of $250.00 glasses and when they arrived in the mail, they were very blurry and I could not use them at all. I told Sandia Vision Clinic that the prescription was wrong, and they agreed to give me another exam without charge since they made the mistake and I already paid. Then they made a false claim to me saying since the doctor made the mistake that the company I got the glasses from will remake the glasses for free. But when i contacted them, they said i had to pay full price for a remake. So, i told Sandia Vision Clinic since they made this problem by giving me a bad prescription, they should fix it. They claimed the company is lawfully obligated to fix the mistake they made. I believe they were lying to me because that company said they were under no obligation because they did not make any mistake and that it was Sandia Vision Clinic that made the mistake (which is true). After i told Sandia Vision Clinic this they finally said they can't help me, and they were not going to pay for this mistake they made, and i just have to live with the fact that i spent $250.00 on glasses i can.t even use. I personally want Sandia Vision Clinic to stop acting childish and be more professional and pay the full price for the remake. I attached 3 pictures, 1. is the wrong prescription 2. is the corrected prescription. 3. is the pair of glasses i bought online. the receipt for the glasses is missing the cost of the frames, the cost of taxes also the shipping cost the total was around $250.00.
