We hired WaterQuest for a general front and back yard clean up. My husband requested at least 6 hours to do the clean up because there were bushes to trim. The WQ employee shows up with a helper my husband steps out to explain what we are requiring. The employee is very hesitant and tells us he did not bring the equipment necessary for the job required. We offer him our blower, our ladder, our pruner, our hedge/bush trimmer and any other tool they require. He tells my husband that it may require over time to finish our request. We are both confused since we book 6 hours or the majority of the day. We have NEVER had a problem with WQ before and always given friends their phone number for a job well done. The employee suddenly found a gas powered trimmer and blower. In less than an hour they were done with the clean up. They had collected leaves and debris from the ground. They did not trim any bushes in the back. But the employee did take a gas power trimmer to my English Ivy and cut 90% of the vines at ground level. The vine was destroyed by 50%. ** and ***** came out to access the damage and made promises of whatever it takes they will do to reestablish the trust lost. I was skeptical then as I am now. They made half hearted attempts by calling 15 minutes before coming to my property. I was available once and the new employee shows up with a bag of fertilizer to spread on the remaining vines. After this, he shows up three times without calling…. There has been no attempt by the owner or the horticulturist to call to set an appointment as they promised. I know I am angry. Now I received an invoice and two months of finance charge for non-payment. Today was the first time I received an invoice from WaterQuest. I was willing to forgo their replanting of 4 new vine plants to replace those that did not survive. I hoped they understood that charging me for damages done is wrong. But no, I received an invoice for $754.03. I will be filing in small claims court.
