      The individual believes that she experienced discrimination due to her learning disability. According to the individuals' mother, she feels that this owner is taking advantage of her daughter and other parents that have brought their children to the driving school. She feels that this needs to be stopped. Originally, the individual paid an increased rate of $685, to get one-on-one classes to accommodate her learning disability at the driving school. The individual attended only 1 2-hour class with the school but was never given a schedule of classes. Following this, the client made several attempts to contact the instructor for a follow-up appointment, but those attempts were met with rescheduling or cancellations. The client ultimately requested a refund due to concerns about communication and stability. However, this request was met with resistance, and the owner began to disregard both texts and phone calls. The client's CSW, whose contact information is provided below, initiated assistance in addressing this issue. However, after making initial contact, there was no further communication due to being ignored. The owner did inform them they would expect a refund in the mail, approximately 2 months ago, but they still have not received anything. When the client was eventually charged for the class, the school deducted $738 from her account, more than the agreed upon amount. ********* ***** **** ************

      I visited Old School of Driving MVD - Driving Safety Services on 06/20/2024 to inquire about obtaining my New Mexico license. They informed me that I needed to take both the written and driving tests at their facility before completing the process at the State Of New Mexico Motor Vehicle Division. I was charged $140.24 for their services.

      Upon visiting the State Of New Mexico Motor Vehicle Division on the same day, I mentioned the tests I had taken at Old School of Driving MVD - Driving Safety Services. The representative there informed me that the services I paid for were unnecessary because I already had a valid driver's license. The Motor Vehicle Division issued me my license and advised me to seek a refund from Old School of Driving MVD - Driving Safety Services.

      Upon returning to Old School of Driving MVD - Driving Safety Services with this information, the staff member denied my request for a refund, stating that only a specific employee named ******* could process it. I returned the next day, on 06/21/2024, and spoke to *******. He mentioned an ongoing investigation regarding my complaint and refused to provide further details or issue a refund, claiming that reimbursing me would invalidate my license. Despite my willingness to proceed without the license, he still did not return my money, citing that it had already been processed in their system. He also requested the name of the State Of New Mexico Motor Vehicle Division representative who assisted me.

      After being unsuccessful in obtaining a refund, I informed ******* that I would be contacting the Better Business Bureau before leaving the premises.

      I am rejecting this response because:



      When I spoke to the MVD (Ran by the state and not 3rd party), they informed me that the test from Old School Driving (3rd party) was not needed to get my license and had no impact on me getting my license. The state told me to get a refund from Old School Driving, as none of the service completed were needed and was fraudulent activity.

      June 8 2023 made payment to school and we set up class time for driving school. My son attended everyday then came time to schedule the drive time in a vehicle with instructor and all went down hill. No one would answer the phones for us. Months later I finally got through to owner and he screamed at me for a few minutes,I just let him I wanted to get class scheduled. My son shows up to class and was bullied by the owner. He told him to tell good grandma to calm down and why was his grandma calling so much. Gave him a hard time the entire drive time. He leaves and they told us to call again to schedule next session and same thing. No answer. It has been a nightmare to work with them. We can’t finish class at this point my son don’t want to go after the owner did what he did. I don’t want to take my son there, besides that we can’t get anyone in the phone anyways. My son has other friends going through the same thing. We lost out on precious time. My son should have his license by now. He is in sports and has a busy schedule also. They promised to work with us. Instead they just took our money and don’t answer phone. Besides that he verbally abused me.

      I enrolled my daughter in driving school for Christmas. They have 25+ kids in a lil 12x10 room. No restrooms available. The instructor very rude to the class. He says he records all classes. So there should be proof. He dropped my daughter from his class saying his class is not for us after me calling and addressing my issues with him. No customer service. I was only yelled at by him . I need help dealing with this guy and getting refunded witch was paid in cash
