    This store already had a bad rap, but my poor mother goes there because its close to homeThey put a lock code on her phone we just purchased The phone is fully locked now and we cant get in when we enemy to the store there was no lock code in the phone and then it had one all the sudden..Now we cannot access the phone and they told us they cant so anything and tough luck This is unacceptable! We spent $1000 on this device and now we cant use or get help for it We need help

    Dear BBB and Customer,

    Thank you for bringing this matter to our attention. We would like to clarify the situation regarding this complaint.

    The customer visited our store only for the installation of a tempered glass screen protector. At no point do we create or set passcodes, lock codes, or passwords on customer devices. The phone was already being used with Face ID. When applying the tempered glass, the device had to be powered off. Upon restarting, the system requires the user to manually enter their passcode before Face ID can be reactivated.

    The customer was informed of this and asked to enter the passcode. Unfortunately, she could not remember it, and insisted that she only ever used Face ID. As per Apples security policies, a passcode must always exist in order to activate Face ID, meaning the device already had a code that was created by the user.

    This is not a defect with the device, nor an action caused by our business. For security reasons, only the rightful user with the correct passcode or Apple ID can regain access. Retailers and technicians are not authorized to bypass or remove this security feature.

    Although a replacement cannot be provided, we are willing to assist the customer by:

    Guiding the customer through Apples official account recovery process.
