We interviewed a number of contractors to do an interior remodel job and selected **** Minerva because he had a lot of creative ideas to offer. However after the deal was signed, we realized quickly we'd made a big mistake. The project was delayed right from the start. Minerva would go weeks without responding to calls, texts or emails. At one point we were certain he'd abandoned our job and we hired a new contractor. When his crew did show up, they treated our house with reckless disregard, at one point turning off the heat in the dead of winter over a weekend. We're lucky the pipes didn't burst. His crew also left the door unlocked, regularly spilled coffee on various floors throughout the house, and left hundreds of cigarette butts in our front and back yard. When they reconnected our washer and dryer, they hand-tightened the gas and water lines so both leaked!Minerva also billed us thousands of dollars for unapproved line items. Every time we received an invoice, there were overcharges and surprise line items that were not discussed in advance.The worst part about dealing with **** Minerva is that he took responsibility for none of this. It was his office manager's fault that the billing was wrong. It was his construction guy who dumped the coffee. He didn't know who to blame about the heat being turned off. He claimed it was OUR fault that he wasn't communicating. Still not sure I understand that one.There are lots of contractors available for hire in **********. Chose any one but this guy.
