Important information

  • Additional Info:

The company sends junk faxes claiming to be a memo from the "HR department" and displays either the Trip Advisor or Travelocity logo. It asks you to call 844-859-2105 to make reservations and 855-613-4031 to be removed. Please  note that the same number 844-859-2105 was displayed on the website www.corporatetravelspecials.net. "The site is down since March 2016.

Consumers report the money paid for the advertised trips are non refundable. In one or more cases the bank informed the consumers that the  transactions are for a foreign country.

The websites affiliated with America Vacations - tripadvisortraveldeals.com and americanvacationsmx.com are registered outside of the US in the Republic of Moldova, for one year only. That short duration is often considered a red flag.

The company is not affiliated with Trip Advisor or Travelocity although the scammers use their logos. Trip Advisor suggests that you may send a copy of the fax using Trip Advisor logo to [email protected].

The junk faxes should be reported to Federal Communications Commission at 1-888-225-5322. To file a complaint online please visit https://consumercomplaints.fcc.gov/hc/en-us/articles/202869810-FAQs-about-Junk-Faxes

The complaints on file with the BBB and online allege that a request to be removed does not stop faxes, even if one's number is on the DO NOT CALL list.  Calling the 855-613-4031 #, only provides the scammers with your phone  number, which in turn may become a future target for other fraudulent offers.  It was noted by one of the recipients that the company was allegedly collecting credit card info only to max it out.

The American Society of Travel Agents provides a following suggestion when evaluating travel offers:
"Be extremely skeptical about postcard and phone solicitations which say you've been selected to receive a fabulous vacation. You should receive complete details in writing about any trip prior to payment. These details should include  the total price, including all administrative fees and service charges; cancellation and change penalties, if any; and specific information about all components of the package."
The company does not disclose its location that can be verified, therefore all offers should be regarded with caution.
