    I made arrangements to have a 90th Birthday Party for Grandma. The menu was set, and the date of the party was going to be 7/23/22. On Wednesday 7/20/22, ******* got sick with COVID and we quickly realized we couldn't have the event. So I called the restaurant to notify unfortunately we would have to cancel. The manager, *********, started yelling at me on the phone telling me I can't cancel the day before an event. I told her we let her know the very day we found out about covid and the party was three days away. She continued yelling they already ordered food, and wanted to know when I would rebook. I told her, I can't very well have the 90th birthday party when the guest of honor can't come because her husband has *****. Plus family member coming in from multiple states are already canceling coming which now we don't even meet the minimum requirement to have a party there. She said she would have the owners call me the next day. They did not.I figured I lost my $100 deposit because she made me feel so bad. I thought this was then end, but only just the beginning. August 13, 2022 we discovered on our credit card bill the restaurant went ahead and charged us in full for the entire cost of the party on 7/21/22. I called right away 8/13/22, asked to speak with the owner. I was put on hold for 25 minutes. I hung up and called back. The hostess apologized and said ********* was on and would talk to me or **** the owner tomorrow. Since she yelled at me the first time, I said I'd rather talk to the owner.I called back 8/14/22, asked to speak with ****. I said my name and mentioned the date of our event that didn't happen and said there must have been some type of mistake because.. He cut me off began yelling at me saying I know who you are, there is no mistake, you're not getting any money back, we have documentation on you, etc.The bottom line is I never authorized a charge for $911.18. We did not receive any goods or services from them. Please help!
