Ordered on 3/22/24 125 sheets of CDX 5/8 plywood $26.50 each. On 3/26/24 we changed the order to 100 sheets of same plywood. On the day I ordered the 125 sheets I paid in full with my credit card. With tax $3,536.92. In the meantime they sent me back a check for $706.39, to clear out balance. The 100 pieces of plywood were delivered to my house on 3/26/24. They were supposed to call me when they were on their way to drop off 100 pieces. Well they did not call and they were left half way up to garage on the front lawn. It was teaming out side, I'm a senior citizen, my brother was doing a job for me. 2 palettes one with 60 pieces the other 40. My brother could only carry and fit 60 pieces. Called spoke to manager said he would store them when ever we were ready for them. A truck pulls up a hour later gets out opens truck takes 40 pieces with fork lift and back on the truck. I gave the man a tip. So now on 1/8/25 we go in to ask them to deliver the ****************************** their warehouse. *** said they have no record of 40 sheets being picked up. He asked to see my receipt after he went on the computer and came out with an entirely different bill. He said thats strange. I was charged for the 100 pieces, which came to with tax and restocking fee $2,905.54. *** said come back tomorrow he had to look into it. Next day claims they have no record of anyone from Beacon picked them up. So now he owes me for the 40 sheets of plywood I never got back. His words were I was robbed. So I tried writing letters with pictures to corporate office absolutely no reply at all. So now he stills owes me money for the 40 pieces I never got back. $1,130.23. Filed dispute with credit card company with temporary credit of the$1,130.23. Said no pictures of plywood picked up. Put the $1,130.23 back on my credit card. I feel this big company took advantage of a senior citizen. I want my money back.
