My newborn daughter was born on September 12, 2024. According to the federal law, a newborn must be covered immediately under the mother's health insurance for the federally mandated postpartum/newborn coverage period, regardless of the baby's coverage.
However, Cognizant's benefits team failed to provide proper guidance, and my husband, Chris,(who works there) was confused where to informed about her enrollment after returning from his paternity leave (September 13-October 12, 2024), and that he had to enroll her right away. He enrolled our daughter for 2025, missing 2024 enrollment by only about 2-3 days.

As a result, we spent months going back and forth between *****, and providers, without resolution. We ended up filing the complaints to the department of insurance, and that's how we figured out Cognizant is under ***** plan that we need to talk to them instead of the *****(insurance company).

Ultimately, Cognizant and ***** denied claims for our daughter's 3-day hospital stay at birth. This denial is in direct violation of the Newborns' and Mothers' Health Protection Act and the Affordable Care Act, which guarantee coverage for the hospital stay of newborns and mothers.

We are not asking for full-year coverage, only for payment of the federally protected 3-day postpartum hospital stay for my baby. Cognizant issued a final denial in August 2025.

I respectfully request BBB assistance to secure payment for this denied claim (the Cognizant and ***** said that claim doesn't even exist on their files because they rejected the providers through the phone call)and correction of provider balances, as the denial goes against federal law and unfairly burdens us financially.

Was contacted through ******** with an offer to apply to a scam job, which required giving them a lot of personal information and interviewing via a text messenging app Signal. I was offered a job through the text only and told I would receive funds to purchase equipment and software for home work. The software and hardware were from 2018 and some of it not even supported. The individuals were *********************** via ******** who told me to download the Signal app and ****** ***************************** *************) who did the Signal interview. Money was requested from me for a device tracker.
