I purchased a 2019 Jeep Cherokee from *********************. I was told they could not fix the car and was told to take it to Autoland which I did. Autoland let the car sit there 7 straight days. Telling lies about the important people that were going to fix the car were not at work such as the mechanic or the manager. My warranty company was going to pay them saying I was covered for the work. But they intentionally kept giving excuses. So July 10th I called and was very nice on the phone to *****. He said again after 6 days he has to get a managers approval. The day before this ****** from ***** gave the approval but the manager in the service center said the mechanic was off. So after 3 weeks of needing the car repaired once again it is towed unfixed. Presently ******* has the vehicle hopefully they can get to the job. Losses of unexpected financial wages, feeling stressed of being lied to and about. They lied and said someone cursed them out which a lie so Autoland refused to work after holding us up.

Please be advised that the ***** dealership which sold this vehicle contacted our dealership & had the vehicle towed into our dealership. After reviewing the warranty provided by ***** (it was not a Chrysler warranty) it was determined that ***** was the direct repair only authorized facility & our dealerships decision was that we could not assist in any repairs & notified them of this. The vehicle was subsequently towed out of our facility. Our dealership did not perform any services on this vehicle. Any matters related to this vehicle should be directed to their selling dealership.

Please be advised that we have contacted the customer and spoke to their mother and advised the vehicle is being addressed (it was towed in) and we will contact then as soon as it is ready for release also regarding please be advised that while his car was being addressed he was provided alternate transportation (which is not under the manufacturer's warranty) also we advised if he would like to speak to the manufacturer directly regarding any questions on his vehicles warranty or lease he can contact them directly & we provided them the 800 number for Chrysler. We advised that any request for reimbursements must go through the manufacturer that a dealership does not have any jurisdiction in this process. One the vehicle is completed we advised we will contact them promptly.

I am rejecting this response because:  I have yet to receive a final decision on the out of pocket reimbursement totaling over $825 (includes towing, 21 days of lease and car insurance payments) while the vehicle was in the possession of autoland jeep in ************  The vehicle however was returned and able to get back on the road as of 11/11/24.

Please advise if we can wait  until final resolution or if return of vehicle will force to close this BBB complaint.  Thank you.

Dealership is unable to void lease or issue replacement. The customer was provided the phone number for the manufacturer so that he can contact them directly with his requests. The vehicle was repaired under warranty and returned to the customer, and they were provided a no cost rental.

Sales manager used misleading verbiage to insinuate liabilities related to the traded in vehicle for their own personal gain. I was attempting to trade in an 80th anniversary 2021 Jeep Renegade for another lease. He presented me with two offers. A $625/month with "liability" or a $700/month payment "without liability".Ultimately, I decided to go with the $700 monthly but did not realize I was giving up my trade in's equity. He made no mention of this and I lost out of money saved due to their misleading verbiage. Additionally, the agreed upon bank was Ally. I signed the necessary contracts but was informed the following day that ********* reneged. This was not given to me in writing. The finance manager and sales manager drove to my home in order for me to sign the Chrysler Capital loan documents. The sales manager used misleading verbiage in order for me to trade in my lease without utilizing its equity in the new signed lease. The dealership will benefit financially by me having had traded in my Renegade without utilizing its equity in a new lease. They did not give me written notice of ********* denying my loan even though it was signed and I drove away in the newly leased vehicle, a Wrangler. The following day, in person, they presented me with Chrysler Capital lease documents to sign because Ally "denied" my loan even though I signed and drove away. The dealership also benefits financially by signing lease loan documents from the manufacturer.

Autland has had my car in their service since tuesday the 7th of August and have not diagnosed it, nor provided as estimate repair date nor a courtesy vehicle. I have already paid 758$ for a rental car and need my car to be repaired as soon as possible.

    Business Response

    Date: 08/15/2023

Please be advised that this vehicle has never been here and has no history with our dealership and therefore we contacted the customer since the car was towed in with no history and no appointment and we advised customer to have car towed out since we are unable to assist the customer & we do not have alternate transportation for her. This customer has no transaction with us.

Please be advised the dealership spoke to the customer after she sign for and leased her Toyota Corolla (she initially wanted to return the vehicle which we advised we were unable to accommodate) The customer came in and met with VP General Manager of the Toyota Division Mr. *************************************** Manager. They reviewed the options with her (lease versus purchase) and she chose to remain in the lease which she had signed for originally.
