    Original purchase of a ********************** manufactured by Ekornes, through ********* Furniture in ***********, ** in August 2021. Sofa was received in late November 2021. The ********************** features a reclining action with a locking mechanism. Since receiving the sofa, the locking mechanism on one side will not full engage which results in that side being is a permanent reclining action. *********** came out on two occasions to repair but it did not fix the issue. *********** contacted an Ekornes rep who came out to assess. He tried to repair but the issue still persists.The sofa has a seven year warranty from Ekornes. We've had the sofa for about a year and have had four visits to assess and repair (two from *********** and two from Ekornes). We would like to be contacted by Ekornes management directly as to their plans to address the defect. Our preference is to have the sofa repaired correctly. If it cannot be repaired, then our expectation is for the sofa to be replaced or refunded.

    On 10/31/2021 my Manhattan 3 seater sofa, Pioneer leather, ********************* was delivered. I also purchased a chair and ottoman. The sofa was $3,995.00 and my total bill was iver $6,000.00.Three weeks ago I had guests over and someone spilled on my sofa. I took towels and put them on the top and underside of the leather. I did everything I could do to get the liquid off the leather. The next day I took it in to get it cleaned, but the aniline finish did not respond well. The pioneer leather has no protective coating and absorbs liquid like a sponge. There is no way to get the dark ring out of the leather.I called Ekornes/Stressless only to find out that the Pioneer leather and the color had been discontinued a year ago. No replacement parts are available for my two year old sofa.I sent an email to Stressless/Ekornes. Their reply was insulting and was apparent in the opening paragraph, it went like this. "We appreciate you taking time.....regret that you are having a hard time finding a fix for your RECLINER." The closing paragraph said this "Hopefully you can find a matching leather with your sofa." I went to a retailer that sells Stressless. I took the arm cushion from my sofa to compare colors with samples of leather by Stressless/Ekornes that were still available. Nothing matches the color or texture.If I choose to order a new cushion cover, I will have a $4,000.00 sofa that will be mismatched. I will have a sofa that has no resale value. So I either live with the stain or a mismatched sofa. Having the whole sofa dyed is not an option. Stressless offered no solution. I feel like they don't care about my investment and I don't matter as a customer, past or future.Although I enjoy my sofa and chair, I will never by another Stressless product and would advise other people to do the same. I would have been joyously happy if I could have gotten a replacement cushion cover that matched. Instead, I got stress from Stressless.
