In May 2021 we hired **** Massanova CPA to prepare and file income taxes for 2 companies along with personal for 2020 tax period ASAP.We had couple of meetings during summer/fall period. **** asked and we provided copies of bank statements, loan agreements, purchase and sales statements of the properties we have purchased and sold etc.11/03/2021 we requested both companies' financial statements available.1. none of 2020 sales were recorded,2. accounts were not reconciled 3. loans/liability accounts were not recorded NOTHING HAS BEEN DONE AT ALL!We requested any evidence of work has been done such as balances, books preparation etc. before we pay the next **** which is $6,518.33 for 26 hours he was doing accounting preparation for us. **** immediately sent a contract termination letter, stating he is terminating our contract for a non-payment.During our cooperation we paid $4,237.50.We simply wanted to understand what we should pay for. We thought that possibly he was working not in our QuickBooks system, and maybe he used his own software or Excel. However, his answer was Any work that I did is in your system.Now we have to do everything we hired **** for by ourselves. At the same time, we must look for an accountant who will urgently check all of this mess and finally file our corporate and personal taxes for 2020. **** said he is going to file a lawsuit against us for a non-payment, but we don't understand what we must pay for if nothing was done and we have to do it all over again.Wed like to request a full refund for the funds we have paid to John L. Massanova C.P.A. as he failed to provide us with the services he agreed to provide.Since he is asking for an additional payment to be done, we are requesting this to be considered as a fraudulent activity. We have to involve ********** Office of the ************************* of ******** Affairs to stop this illegal collection.
