    ?? My Experience with Astound Broadband (**********, **)I began using Astound in April 2024 based on a $60/month 1 Gbps internet plan with $10 off for autopay. My first bill was $232.02 (including installation and taxes), and after that I was paying $63.03/month everything was fine until March ******** day my internet stopped working. I called Astound, the agent told me to wait 5 minutes, and the connection came back. Two hours later, I got an email saying Thank you for being a new customer. Your first bill is ******************, the agent had restarted my service without consent, triggering new fees. I never canceled, moved, or requested a change. When I called again, they admitted the mistake but said it couldnt be undone only discounted.Soon after, my autopay discount stopped applying, and agents gave me conflicting explanations. One told me to buy my own modem/router to save the $30/month rental fee. I did even while unemployed after leaving the Navy in February but speeds dropped badly. A technician said the modem was too old (despite being approved), so I upgraded to a TP-Link ****** AX55, and speeds returned to ********* May, I was charged $35.08, which seemed right. But in June, my bill jumped to $51.69. Agent **** said I was now on a $99 Bundled Services plan but I never signed up for a bundle. I have called over 16 times, spent hours on the phone, and been given no resolution.?I do not recommend Astound ************ being charged for services I never requested. Unless this is resolved, Im considering small claims court. This has been extremely frustrating and disrespectful.

    This cable company is a big rip off. Ran dont walk away. Always increasing their rates. No wonder they arent BBB accredited.

    I am on all the do-not contact lists, however, I still receive Astound Broadband solicitations via mail. I removed myself from their mail advertisements/solicitations via a customer service call. Next week a guy drove to my mailbox and placed more advertisements from that company in my mailbox. Furious, I called back to customer service and the agent took the time to contact other departments and remove me from all marketing information and said I would not receive any more solicitation from that company. To this day I still receive advertisements/solicitations from Astound Broadband.

    Raised my price over 50% without adequate notice after 1 year. Claimed it was a promotional deal, but nothing made that clear before. Even if you go to the website now, it claims a 2-year price lock. The supposed notice that my price will be increasing was on the 4th page of one of my bills, after the advertisements for new services, buried within fine print. When I tried to get something closer to my original price, they told me they could not do anything for me and tried to get me to purchase more services. The customer service agent was nice but the ********************** is ripping me off.

    ************************** show 20$ a month promotion with 2 years of lock the rate. In reality they increased to 30$ withing start service after 1 month.

    I have had Astound for 2.5 years and until my recent experience have been fairly happy.I work from a home office, and two weeks ago my internet started fadiIng in and out starting around 2:00 in the afternoon. I called and they said I was not getting a strong signal and they scheduled a tech to come out several days later. The tech came said it was not our equipment, it was at the power pole and would need a different tech to come out. That did not happen for another 4 days, meanwhile I was struggling to continue working in the afternoons. They apparently finally came out and left without confirming with me that it was working properly. The next day I still had the same problem. I called and asked to have them come back, only to be rold it would be another 5 days before a tech could come out. I pleaded for an escalation and was told there is no escalation process, even though two techs came out and did not fix the issue. I asked to speak with a manager and was told there was no way for me to do that. I'm going on week three of losing my internet sporadically each afternoon and evening, affecting my livelihood and they do not seem to be in the least concerned. They should have a policy that a customer's issue is escalated if the attempts to fix the issue have not been resolved.

    This company currently has an employee named ************************* who is extremely unprofessional. He was inappropriately communicating with my wife and touched her shoulder twice after she made it clear she was uncomfortable with his advances. He disrespected my wife, my family and ultimately his company, by disparaging the reputation of Astound Business Solutions, LLC and also the relationship with his own wife as he openly said that because he used to work ***** hour weeks regularly, she threatened to divorce him and break up their family (of which he has four children) and he tells my wife that he considered ending it with her. This is a poor, poor representation of your company and I'm making this complaint public to hold him accountable for his disgusting, disrespectful and behavior that's a clear violation of being a man of character and substance, but also I'm sure, a violation of your company policy in interacting with the public.

    This company is very unprofessional, lacks customer empathy as well as very poor customer service. My current provider for over 20 years was WOW Internet and Cable. Whom Astound brought out causing customer to become and receive service through Astound. I was told NOTHING WOULD CHANGE, my pricing service, plan, channels, equipment....ect. However, that was not the case. After numerous of failed attempts of calling Astound speaking with customer service reps and supervisor tying to get resolution for service I was not receiving and pricing increase.I called Astound to cancel my service back in January 2023. Not only did they not cancel my service when I had asked them to, they billed me for the next billing periods to current and charged me much more money than what my bill would normally have cost. Upon realizing that I was still being billed for services that I canceled I called Astound to get the issue rectified. I was told that my services were not canceled, and that my services were interrupted. So I would need to wait until my services get fully disconnected and then my account will be sent to a collection agency. What company does this a scam and rip off! Here I am as a customer trying to get this issue resolved and rectified but I'm being told to wait until my bill finalized and get fully disconnected and send to a collection agency. This is a way to intimidate and to bully customers into to paying for services that were canceled months ago as well as services that were not provided and billing that extremely doubled. Still to today I've gotten nothing but excuses. My most recent call was last week. I was told by a supervisor that he saw the notes where I'm supposed to receive the credit. He adjusted my bill with the credit. However, the credit still is not reflecting on my account as of today nor has my services been canceled per my request. No customer should be subjected to this. This type of customer service is unacceptable and it needs to be rectified.

    They are the worst cable company and has a lot of internet down intervals. My bill went up $50 recently after a year of service. That is ridiculous. For 1 box with internet. I was told there was nothing they could do. I am a senior on a fixed income and financially unable to pay such an exorbitant increase. My only vice is Tennis which I had to give up and go to basic. I am going to look for alternatives.
