    Similar story here where I googled for JAL customer service and called the first number that showed up. Was looking to inquire with *** since my mother in law, who speaks no English and has rarely flown internationally was told at check in that she needed to pick up her bags in ** even though her final destination was ******. The number I called I guess was for fareObuddy, and I was duped into paying a $350 to re-issue her tickets to check through her bags to her final destination. Turns out everyone needs to clear customs in ** regardless of final destination, and realized I got scammed when I tried calling back to try to get a refund.

    We are having the same experience most have except we dont even know if we have actual tickets yet! I cant get a hold of Iberia to check and see if we even have legit tickets! I realized after we spent 19 k on business class tickets, that we most likely didnt call Iberia and got another ** instead. The website was glitching so we ended up calling what we thought was Iberia but wasnt! Im calling all the credit card **mpanies tomorrow to refuse charges. They also charged 4 k more for the same seat I saw online and said it had to be upgraded because the fares we saw were no longer there! Def a scam **mpany and should not be in business!

    Like many others, fareobuddy mislead me into thinking I was dealing directly with the airline. I called what I thought was ********* Airlines after doing a web search when my flight was cancelled. An agent booked a flight for me on American Airlines. I appreciate that he was able to get me on another flight and I did agree to pay the charges via email, but he misrepresented himself and did not fully explain the charges.First, I believed I was talking with someone from *********, because he presented himself that way -- saying he couldn't get me on a flight with *********, but said he was booking me with "our sister airline". He also told me ********* ("we") would give me a refund if I continued to wait in line for an ********* agent at the airport.At no time did he mention that $200 of my $435 one-way fare would go to "Travel Unravel", which is what I saw on my bank statement the next day. I emailed and called fareobuddy customer service asking for the $200 back, but they just kept giving me back to the original agent, who denied any wrongdoing.

    I was directed to this site after a few minutes i realized i was on a different site then the airline that i wanted to book with. Long story short i was over charged $1200 on a separate receipt which i was told it was for taxes and fees I feel absolutely scammed and wonder how this business is allowed to operate. The representative sent receipts for the actual cost of the flight but i never received a receipt for the fictitious taxes and fees I'm recommending to all my friends on social media to stay clear of this site.

    CONSUMER ALERT!!!!!!!! I booked a flight directly with Air transat months ago. We have a newborn so I needed to call in and add him to the itinerary. I googled air transat contact number and clicked the 1st number that popped up. When **** answered the phone from fareobuddy I asked why. I was told that fareobuddy does the customer service for the airline. I paid the 371 taxes to add our newborn to the flight. I was told that he was added to the itinerary. The airline is telling me he has not been added. I will be calling my credit card company to report as fraud!

    It's unfortunate we can't leave negative stars! Fareobuddy positions themselves online to lead you to believe you're going to your airline site! As another reviewer stated, I also clarified with the rep that I was not paying any change fees and that was a total lie. A call to ******* Airlines confirmed that this indeed was a scam. AND, I received a call from Expedia, with whom I had booked my original flight. They asked about the chat they had with me but I HAD NOT CHATTED WITH EXPEDIA. ********** impersonated me in a chat with Expedia and requested a flight change while acting as if they were me. This company is so crooked!! Please beware! This should not be legal.

    When I call in I was not informed that there was any charges .he told me I could change the date .then gave me a number to call him back his name was ******** cause he told me he couldn't hold on it cause I had to check to make arrangement for someone to pick me up from ******** but if I call back in 5 minutes he could do it i call back to tell him to book it . He did then said I would get charge ****** dollars for the ticket. for the change of the ticket... . I said when I pay the different of ****** .there isn't any other charges comin off my credit card ..he informs me no.and not to worry i pay my ticket never told me there would be another charge from swoop When I check my credit card there was ****** from Fareobuddy then a charge from swoop for ****** fir the ticket .. I'm 67 yrs old. I dont usally do this on my own usually i get someone to help but I hope something can be done .. thank *************************

    I did like many others clearly did, where I googled Virgin Atlantic and they were the first link, and the link made it appear to be Virgin Atlantic, and on the phone they made it seem like I was speaking with Virgin Atlantic. I called to just confirm flights previously purchased. They told me that my flights in fact had not been confirmed because insufficient taxes and fees were inadvertently not paid/charged, and that to confirm, I would need to pay an additional $184. Thinking I was speaking with Virgin Atlantic, I allows a credit to be charged for this. After hanging up and concluding it all sounded suspicious, I called the correct Virgin Atlantic number and they confirmed no additional amounts were due and in fact my seat was confirmed. I have cancelled the credit card, and reported the fraud to the credit card co. I since looked up the address in ** and it is just a post drop the company is not actually there at all. This is a fraudulent company. Do not do business with them

    I had booked a flight online with Frontier and I caught my mistake and need to fix it or cancel and start all over. I ****** the airline for a number and their number came up witch it look like the airline page. I called it and the person wanted to charge me $50 dollars to cancel the mistake flight. Then to rebook it was more money than the airline online was. The I started to investigate and looked up farobuddy and decided to see how much to book with them the price was cheaper than her price on the phone. So I called them back talked to the same person she ended being rude when I called her out on it. She said booking with the airline your on standby.
