    On April 5th 2023 I signed up for *link ACP/lifeline phone service. I use it for unlimited talk text data and hotspot for my laptop .The 1st month The phone service was OK, i didnt use much hotspot. The 2nd month my Internet was very slow, only 1/2 the pages would load, others wouldn't load at all. I have been looking for work and I received an email with a link to do a background check . It was only good for 24 hours and my service wouldn't let me connect with that Link. I couldn't even get my email to open on my laptop. Finally, I had to use someone else's phone and laptop to finish the background check. (They live at the same address and use a different phone service. )I was completing my background check within a minute.This service is useless to me if I cannot connect to the Internet to do important work, let alone just get online.I have called the company several times, the latest being may 24th 2023, I was told that the connection is congested with so many users that I should try a different time period. I tried for 6 hours to use the email link, then finally asked a friend for their help.Today, I applied to a different company for phone service.I went on BBB.org to check the * link company and found that there is $62 million dollar lawsuits against that company. So this a another legitimate complaint about *link.

    Lifeline wireless / Tracfone has been s******* me around for over a month. On phone daily , 4 or 5 hours @ a time arguing !! I had phone through them for over 10 years..Needed government program for disabled daughter. One per household. Gave mine up , switched companies, now pay for monthly plan. I unlocked phone from this carrier. Also told them want to keep transfer number. Too many doctors, ************************ to change # manually !!! Was told I could keep. Week ago got NPT to port # to new carrier. That rep didn't confirm - I thought did so threw away old SIM card. Week later no number. Called , they won't give me #. Said need SIM OR IMEI # & last 4 of SIM #. I have those ; still would NOT give me new port # .!! Told verify my account & e-mail. Then many calls, transfers to employees. Go through whole conversation over & over , then disconnected !! This business ,using a government lifeline / ACP ********************************* the customers !!
