UFC GYM Paramus *****************************, Paramus, ** ***** So I signed up back in November 2022 for the champion membership, the contract was agreed on a monthly payment of $150 month. I never got charged till this month for $842.05 on March 13 and ******. Which doesn't even make sense because that's how much the whole year would cost. I've been very patient trying to call multiple times saying they will fix the problem but they never do.First of all my credit card was charged without any notice or warning beforehand, they charged it randomly one day. Second I believe the contract was voided since we agreed on the contract on a month-to-month basis back in November and I was charged a huge lump sum in March for the first time. (That was the first transaction ever)I asked my lawyer about this and he said "If the contract specifies that you would be charged monthly and the gym failed to do so for six months, then they may have breached the terms of the contract. If they then charged you a lump sum without prior notice or consent, this could be considered improper or illegal, depending on the specific terms of the contract and applicable laws.In general, businesses are required to provide notice and obtain consent before charging customers for goods or services. If the gym failed to provide you with notice and obtain your consent before charging you a lump sum, then this could be considered improper or illegal."Look, I like what the *************** stands for, I'd like to get a new membership at a new gym since the Paramus gym doesn't know what they're doing. Also, I don't want to charge back with my credit card company to keep a good standing with the *** GYM.My hope is to get a refund and for them to void the contract so I can sign up at another gym. Thank you
