In June 2025, my daughter had a full brake job done at Midas in Paramus NJ. The repair included calipers, rotors, and pads. We paid around $2,000. Two months later, in early August, her brakes completely failed while driving, which nearly caused a serious accident. When we returned to the shop, they admitted the caliper had failed. We later spoke to an independent mechanic who confirmed that calipers do not simply leak unless they are defective or improperly installed. The shop offered to fix the issue, but the district manager (*******, ************) refused to offer a refund and stated that even if we filed a complaint, it would just be sent back to him and he wouldnt approve anything. He also minimized the risk by saying parts fail every day, which ignores the fact that this was a full system failure two months after a major safety repair. We are requesting a full refund of the original brake job due to the failure of the parts and service that were supposed to ensure the vehicles safety. This is not buyers remorse this is a dangerous situation caused by poor workmanship or defective parts. We are asking Midas to take full accountability for this safety issue.I have supporting documents, but not with me currently! I need more time.

The Customers vehicle was Under Total Warranty of Midas. We Warranted the Caliper & Got The Customer Back on the Road Free of Charge. I Explained to the Customers Son, (Who is Complaining, Not The One Paying The Bill) **** if there Were any Other Charges that Occurred, I Would Of Taken Care Of ****. Like a Tow Bill or Rental. There is No Reason to Refund The Work Done Because There are No Issues With Everything Else that was Performed.  One Part Failed. Yes, Parts Fail. ****'s Why We Have Such Great Warranty's To Help The Customer. I Did Apologize to the Customer About Him Feeling in Such a Way, But I Don't Make the Parts. We Just Install Them. If It was The Quality of Workmanship at My Shop, It would of had an issue 2 Months Prior when They Picked up the Car after Service.
