Pixies and Paws (*************************************) misrepresents itself as a 501c3 animal rescue. From my experience with them, it became evident that they are in fact a retailer buying puppies from breeders and asking for exorbitant adoption fees. I learned this after signing up to ******, and they dropped off the puppies in a van, and they refused to provide medical records for the dog. There are lots of reviews online (Yelp, ******) that report similar experiences.

I have been made aware that this "rescue" is extremely unethical and inhumane. I was going to submit an application for adoption when I stumbled upon many many horror stories and terrible information about this establishment. The information was consistent across many social media platforms and included things like failure to disclose medical issues prior to adoption, unreasonably high and suspicious adoption fees, sketchy pick up locations and payment systems, and even a claim that they purposefully keep puppy ***** in business and do not report them in order to continue selling these dogs. I even reached out to the business on Instagram and was greeted with complete and utter unprofessionalism, disregard for my concerns, and rudeness prior to being blocked all together. I am hoping there is a way to transfer these pups to a REAL rescue facility and close down this business for good.

I purchased my dog from a rescue under the name, Pixies&Paws. I was charged $1600 For the dog. I originally fostered this mini bernadoodle, and within two days of having him in our home, I got a text saying that someone was interested interested in adopting this dog and then I needed to bring it back immediately or pay the 1600 adoption fee. At this point, my kids had already fell in love with the dog so reluctantly I paid the $1600. After doing so, I brought the dog to my local vet, where they checked him over. He had an undescended t******* which I was not told about. He also needed several vaccines that I was told he was up-to-date on. I am now hearing that this rescue is not a non-profit as they claim.

I recently discovered that Pixies and Paws rescue are claiming to be a dog rescue agency but anre actually buying dogs from breeders and selling them to customers under the guise of being a rescue agency. They charge a hefty price of $2000 for each dog. Although they claimed that ******** they sell have already received their rabies shots and a chip has been installed in them, they could not provide the rabies vaccination sheet which is legally required to be provided. I also took the dog I bought from them to a vet and discovered that there is no chip installed in her. This place is a scam and is taking advantage of both animals and people who are looking for help.
