We brought our dog ******* to Mount Laurel Animal Hospital twice within 24 hours after he had been vomiting all day. Despite his worsening condition, we waited hours both visits. The first night on May 9th, the doctor prescribed ******* saline and cerenia. And we were sent home with anti nausea medication. That night ******* was restless and clearly not well. By the next morning, his condition had worsened. He was lethargic, weak, and could not keep anything down.We brought him back to the hospital the next morning, where we waited over three hours. He looked so exhausted and was visibly weak and regurgitated bile while we sat in the waiting room.He was eventually sedated for an ultrasound, and during recovery he aspirated bile into his lungs. He had to be intubated, which further worsened his already weakened condition. At first we were told he had about a 50% chance of recovery. But within the hour, his condition declined and we were told there was very little chance he would make it. We had to make the heartbreaking decision to let him go.We left the hospital heartbroken and filled with confusion and frustration. We questioned whether sedation had been the right decision, especially since ******* had been vomiting. The doctor explained that all animals are sedated for ultrasounds as part of their standard protocol. Still we could not help but wonder if there was a way to anticipate the risk of aspiration. Could a suction tool or different positioning have helped? We believe ********* condition called for a more careful and personalized approach.Being charged in full after such a traumatic loss only added to our pain. We trusted the hospital with our boy and we lost him in such a traumatic way. He deserved better.******* was not just our pet. He was family. We are still grieving and we hope you will take the time to truly look into his case and reflect on how it was handled. We would never want another family to go through what we did.

They only care about money. I dont even think they like animals I was left truly heartbroken and I was given false hope and false promises and charged $7500 for it and they would not allow me to take my boy home and told me that I was the one putting him in pain if I took him home I just wanted to put him to sleep at home where hes loved and they made me feel so guilty and Im still heartbroken. In my opinion. They are just evil and money hungry and animals last ??

Do not go here!!! I took my animal because I thought something was lodged in his throat. Hus lungs were "clear" as I was told by the doctors at Mount Laurel. They misdiagnosed him, gave him a list of medication that he did not need. Dangerous medication which I was uneducated about. They told me my animal needed to be euthanized and did not conduct a single test. They scared the c*** out of me though. Jacked up the bill by giving him medication he did not need. I took him to another vetrinarian. He did not need any of the medications. He did not need to be euthanized or have any of the diagnosises i was told he had by Mount Laurel. Something was building up in my animals lungs by the time I took him to his vetrinarian. Side effects from one of the list of medications he was given that he did not need. They should have run tests because this particular medication can not be given to animals with underlying health issues due to it causing death. The medication was for extreme vomiting, my animal was not vomiting at all, but he did experience severe side effects. My vetrinarian told me to take him off all the medications, but it was too late. That night he went into a coma (side effect) and died (side effect) in my arms. My animal suffered due to doctors at Mount Laurel. He was fine before this. When I emailed and called asking for badge numbers, the hospital tried to intimidate me by sending me a cease and desist letter. The owner even called my vetrinarian while he was in the process of writing records and he had absolutely no right to do this. Nor could he have had a reason, other than to mess with my animals records after his death. There was even fraudulent statements in the records I recieved from Mount Laurel. A month later, they killed my friends snake and had to give his money back to him because they couldnt avoid being held accountable. My friend was devastated. I am still devastated. Death cult. Mount Laurel will be held accountable one day.

Exceptional place. Have been going there for 24 years with various pets. Yes, having a pet is expensive today regardless the vet, which is something you need to know BEFORE you bring home that adorable little puppy or kitten. Only vet hospital affiliated with ******************* in the area. It IS a large facility with many vets and specialities AND a 24 hour Emergency hospital. You may prefer a smaller vet facility, but I love having the one place that knows our pets regardless what they need.

LAUREL ANIMAL HOSPITAL IS A DISGRACE. THAT IS SO EGREGIOUS. I CAN'T BELIVE THEY DO THIS. 8 TIMES THE COST. DISGUSTING.ZERO STARS!!M

Dear **************, We are glad that your pet received treatment that was more affordable for your budget. The estimate provided to you was for the surgical procedure to be performed by a board certified veterinary surgeon, which is why that amount was higher than what was quoted by your regular veterinarian.

We had a horrible experience at Mount Laurel Animal Hospital and will NEVER use their services again. Our English bulldog stayed one night in the **** After having bloodwork with our regular vet, his liver levels were abnormal and our vet suggested we get an ultrasound. Unfortunately, we went to Mount Laurel. We left our $5400 deposit and in the morning the specialist called us and said our ****** was stable and we would need to return in one week to check his liver levels after being on several medications. We were called again to say we could pick him up at 4:30. When we arrived we were asked to get him from the crate. As soon as we walked in I IMMEDIATELY asked why is he breathing like that? I told them he NEVER breaths like that. The tech responded- hes stressed. As my husband picked him up he was urinating all over and he carried him to the car. I sat in the back with our dog the entire ride home and he still was not breathing well. As if he wasnt getting enough air in. As soon as we arrived home I called the vet office and told them of my concerns AGAIN and I asked how long had he been stressed and breathing like that there? The woman on the phone said A FEW HOURS!!! What?! You would think that a vet office would know that a bullldog can not sustain breathing like that for a long period of time. Our poor ****** continued to struggle to breathe and within a few more minutes his tongue turned blue and passed out and died in our living room!!! The next morning I immediately emailed the specialist and told him what happened. He called back and was apologetic. He said that should have never happened and ****** should have not been discharged. We asked to speak to the owners. ************* called my husband and said he would investigate what happened and get back to him. It has now been almost 4 weeks and we still have NOT had any closure or response to their "investigation". They are hoping we just go away and they don't want to be accountable.

Terrible experience. My cat Oreo stopped eating and drinking last week and after two urgent care visits, his doctor recommended we go to an ** for an ultrasound - I chose this one. At the ** he was diagnosed with ileus and given medications including a single dose of Reglan/metoclopramide. I took him home with no oral metoclopramide doses given by the doctor. He ate that night and was improving until he stopped again the next day. I was told by the doctor that if he ate even a little between his discharge and the next morning, that was a positive response. However he wouldnt eat that next day after the morning and so around 2:30pm Monday I contacted the previous clinic and the mount laurel ** requesting additional metoclopramide that I could give at home.I was told via email that an ** doc needed to approve it and then I could get it from the pharmacy. Several hours later, I decided to travel from ****** to ** to wait all night if I had to for the medicine as my other clinic and most other clinics had since closed. Upon going, I was told that I was both completely misinformed and also NOT informed-the original ** doc wasnt physically present that night, and he was the only one who could provide more of the oral medicine to Oreo and it was dependent on whether he checked his email that night. I was also told that the oral form was more dangerous to cats compared to the IM injection, and so they preferred to admit oreo for another injection. I was also not informed that I should bring **** in order to obtain the oral metoclopramide prior to my going to the ** Monday night. After waiting in the lobby and sobbing (no one came to check in with me-they just watched me cry which was bizarre and weird), I decided to leave the **, and cared for Oreo hour by hour that night. I was not contacted by Mount Laurel Animal Hospital until Thursday afternoon, in spite of being told on Monday evening that I would be contacted when oreos doctor was in on Tuesday morning 9AM.

Medeeha, your satisfaction is very important to us, and we were disappointed to learn you feel this way. We did some investigations into all our communications to see where the delay was or miscommunication. We never want any of our patients to be uncomfortable, in distress or just not themselves. We do have the communication you had regarding wanting more medication and our team let you know we will reach out to the vet who originally prescribed the medication but an ETA of when will be filled is unknown. Our patient care advocate did have documentation that you were going to reach out to your vet for more medications, but then a follow up email was sent that you wanted from us. Usually takes ***** hours to get medications approved since we need authorization from the veterinarians, and they might not be scheduled when the request goes in. We are reviewing this request to see why another emergency veterinarian could not approve this medication in the interim. We do apologize for the delay in hearing from that ER doctor and getting the approval in 3 days. We wish we knew that you were going to come and wait, as we would have advised against it and since we were then informed that **** was now critical at home and you were extremely worried, we would have urged you to bring him in. The medication that you were requesting might not have helped based on him getting worse but a further evaluation would have been needed. We had many team members speak with you and explain the protocol when you were physically here and everything we can do for Oreo at that time, but those options were declined. We see that you did not want the medications once filled since they took so long for authorization and wished to go elsewhere. We again apologize for the delay on authorization and truly wish the best for all the patients we treat and see. We hope that he was seen and is feeling better and more back to himself.Thank you for bringing your concern to our attention so we can continue to strive to improve to create the best client and patient experience.

The Worst. You will never see my face ever again. The misdiagnosis and the 5k charge and not one cent off my bill when confronted with my issue. They misdiagnosed my dog with pancreatitis when she had a bacterial infection I think it was done on purpose picking the more expensive course of treatment and my dog was sick for ten days my second opinion gave her an antibiotic and the next day she was a new dogNever Again!,,,,

My ferret was sick, lethargic, and had diarrhea from a virus. He was dehydrated and his normal *** was unable to see him at that time, so I took him there hoping that they would give him IV fluids for the dehydration but no instead I sat there for hours, while he was in the back, getting even more stressed out without me. The doctor came out told me the treatment plan. I agreed as long as he would get IV fluids because he was dehydrated. Likewise, after hours went by they come out and say hes ready to go. Give me a list of medication some of which he did NOT need. Then they tell me that they couldnt give him the IV fluids because he wouldnt stay still Mind you he is a FERRET and quite frankly no animal will stay still for something like that, you have to have the right experience in order to be able to administer IV fluids, which clearly they lack. Then they told me he started throwing up. He wasnt doing that before, but it was after all the medication they gave him, but yet they still did not treat the most crucial issue, which was dehydration. They lacked the most important and crucial skills needed when caring for sick animals, especially being able to administer IV Fluids. The total bill was outrageous. Mount Laurel animal hospital only cares about the money they are not compassionate towards the animals. Based off of what they did, and what they be prescribed, and the information they gave me shows me that they were more concerned about increasing the total medical bill, then they were about the animal. Please, if you own a ferret, DO NOT go to them. They up charge everything and clearly they are not educated or experienced enough to handle FERRETS. Instead, please go to ******************, at Avian and Exotic Animal *************** which I will have linked below. Shes compassionate and works with you and its not all about money for her. She genuinely cares about the animals she is treating. This is why she is the only vet that I trust taking care of my babies.

My husband and I recently had to put our beautiful Boxer, Big, to rest. We were travelling and we ended up in ************ when it happened. We travelled to Mt Laurel ** when we were referred to them by Marmalade.Mount Laurel staff were so incredibly compassionate, helpful, and kind to **. We were able to be with him through it and then sing our prayer over him in private. There are farm animals there that you can see and feed, and well, it just helps a lot in those moments after. We went back a few days later just to see and feed them.I highly recommend them. We saw many healthy happy pets in their waiting room, so we can tell they are very good all around.
