I paid for a seminar and after they posted the classes there was none I wanted to take. I tried for 2 months to get teachers class schedule but wanted to go so signed up early. They have a refund policy, but of course they posted classes after 100% refund. But I am entitled to partial refund. I paid for 2 classes so with the discount it should be ****** (****** each). I have been trying for 2 months and they never answer their phone or return calls. I have emailed them and finally get a response. 3 weeks ago they said they mailed a check, I emailed them and told them I have not received it. They said 2 weeks ago they would mail another one and it has not shown up yet. My charge card was compromised so they said a check was the only way to take care of it. I had a friend sign up to and she has not heard anything. They said they would send her a check but her card is good do dont know why they are not refunding on her charge card. The company now goes by Needlework With Jim in **********. Very frustrating. I feel they are scamming me.Initial Complaint

There was a sale on Facebook by Silkweaver Fabrics. I have dealt with them for years, so I did not hesitate to place an order. Unfortunately, Silkweaver apparently no longer services its own orders, and they are now being handled by Needlework with Jim (one friend told me they are unreliable, but I had already placed my order). I paid by credit card. Voluminous correspondence ensued (I only have copies for the last few months) but I have never received my order and never received a refund. Attaching a copy of the paid invoice, the correspondence that I do have with the vendor, and my CC statement showing the amount going out to the vendor.Initial Complaint

I registered for a class in 2020 that was cancelled due to covid. I have been trying to get a refund for at least 3 years. I provided them with all of the proof they needed to return my $280.00. They have stopped responding to me.Initial Complaint

On January 3, 2022 I placed an order (#********) after receiving a sale email from the company fabric. It read that it would *********** weeks to receive the fabric but then said it could take a little longer because of Covid. I was being patient and contacted them in August of 2022 and asked where my items were. I was told that they just got a shipment in and I would be receiving it soon. At the same time I received a new email for preorder and was told all these items ordered would arrive to my home at the same time. I waited another 6 months to receive only a portion of my preorder (#********) and none of the fabric. I have tried to contact them on many occasions to get my money back and every time they tell me they got a new shipment and I would be receiving it soon or that they were sick with ***** and I would be receiving my shipment soon. It has been almost 2 years. I want my money back and I have asked them several times with no results.Initial Complaint

I attended an event held by this business in Aug 2022. I paid for a class in the *** of $95.00 which was cancelled at the last minute and not reimbursed. I was told the class would be held at their shop which never happened and no longer exists. I also paid in full to attend their event the following year on Aug 7, 2022. The owners closed their shop and there was no communication with details for their 2023 event. In June 2023 I spoke with the hotel and was advised the event was not taking place. I immediately called my credit card company to request a chargeback for the cost of the event, which was $235.00, however since the cost of the cancelled class was over 1 year old it could not be disputed. My credit card company did dispute the charge of $235.00 with them and a credit was received. 5 weeks before the event was to take place I received an email stating the date of the event and the location of the venue was changed. I responded back to Needleworker's Delight advising them I had requested a refund from my credit card company and at the same time requested they refund the class fee of $95.00. I received an email response stating they would refund it, however I subsequently received a check in the amount of $45.00 and a note stating that since I had cancelled their event I am being penalized $50.00 for the cancellation. I have tried to reach out to them several times, via phone, email, and regular mail and have not received a response. I don't feel I should pay any kind of penalty when they changed the date, and venue. There have been several issues with them holding money I've paid in the past and have not received the goods and services that were paid for. They are not *********** a cancellation fee and I want a refund.Initial Complaint

I am presently waiting on a statement from the credit card company. The date was approximately April 2022- May 2022. I paid for what they call Needlefest New Jersery 2023. The original days was to be April ***** 2023. About one month before the event an email was sent out that it was canceled and a new date would be coming soon. I requested a refund because I didn't know if I would be available to go on the rescheduled day. I have been told it is in the process over and over again. The last time I was told I need to speak to someone about the refund but haven't given me any information. I never received an invoice from them for this transaction so I am presently awaiting the copy from my credit card company. They recently rescheduled the day to October ***** 2023. I am away that weekend and they know that and still no word of a refund. They tell me they are not jerking me around but really how long does it take for a refund. They are nice people that wouldn't do that they've said to me. Also, several months ago they have given up their brick and mortar business and now do ******* at halls at various locations. The name seems to be in the process of changing from Needleworkers Delight to Needlework with ***. The one email that is on automatic reply is **************************** On Fridays they sell their wares live off of ********* They call it Flash Sales for weekend sales. Just click on what you want and they will Bill you.The phone number number that an answering machine answers is ************. Last year I paid for a retreat that was supposed to happen at the end of July,2023. About 3-4 weeks before the scheduled event they rescheduled to the following weekend. I had other obligations and was unable to attend so requested a refund. They requested that I use the credit for a future event but I am not interested in doing that. I paid for classes at an event Needleworker's Delight sponsored: "Summer in Williamsburg", 2021. The event was cancelled due to Covid. I agreed to let them hold my money because I was told they were going to try and schedule a "Summer in Williamsburg", 2022. That event never materialized. I corresponded with ***************************** multiple times. I did not want to use my refund for future events - I live out of state and it seemed that their events were prone to cancel. I did not want to take a refund in merchandise. In November of 2022, I formally requested a refund. They calculated that I was due $525, but no refund was issued. Several excuses were offered - sickness in the family, finances such that a refund would be difficult. I waited longer. However, I notice that they are still holding events, having sales (so they must be paying vendors). I finally said that if I did not receive my refund check by June 29, 2023, I would file a complaint with the BBB as well as finding out what other recourse I might have. That date has come and gone - no refund, no response from Needleworkers Delight. This has taken far too long to resolve. I have emails from them stating "we will get a refund processed for you." - if you need verification of my claim.Initial Complaint

I purchase a special dye fabric back on 11/29 along with two other fabrics. The charge was immediately taken out of my account in the amount of $49.25. I understood that it would take 16 weeks as it was a special due process.
I called in March as we were moving and asked Jim to hold the fabric until we moved and I would call them and email them back with the new address. I called and emailed Allison K******* on April 7 providing the new address and requested the fabric that they confirmed had received to be mailed on April 14. I have followed up on a weekly basis with emails about the shipment of my fabrics which now they are withholding from me for no apparent reason. They keep saying they will mail it but as of today, June 14, I still have not received my order.
When I placed my order initially, I created an account . At the time of completing the transaction, I did not receive a confirmation number or an email and when I checked online it didn’t indicate what my order was. I have explained that to Ms. Alison. She is aware of the special order but does not know what the other two orders were as they were in the process of moving and could not locate my account. I was told that since they could not find the order that they will just fill it with another 2 fabrics.
On June 11, I requested for a full refund as I still have not received my order. I have not heard from them on this matter. They are not responding in a timely manner and won’t answer the phone. It goes to voicemail. I have left numerous phone and have an email chain from the numerous times I have reached out to them.
I just want resolution. As much as I would love to have the fabrics mailed, I’m just done with the unresponsive and no longer want to deal with this frustration. Since mailing out my order seems to be an issue with this business, I want a refund for the $49.25. I have uploaded the bank statement.Customer Answer

This business owes me a refund for two cancelled needlework classes valued at $520.00. Paid in advance in May of 2022 for an event in Nov/Dec. 2022. I did not learn the classes were cancelled until I arrived at the event. They wanted me to choose other classes, but I just want my refund! They have only made excuses or ignored my many emails sent since the event was over. I have sent at least 3 in 2023 with no refund forthcoming. I want my $520 refund!
