      Lakes Appliance is hands down the BEST store for your appliances!!! Honest staff and quick delivery and set up. Stop dealing with the box stores as they are a waste of time and money. Our salesman ********************************* in ******* is the man to see!!! He was helpful and so courteous!!

      I do not recommend purchasing from Lakes unless you like getting shamed & blamed for issues with your appliances. In 2022, we purchased 5 appliances from Lakes. One was a front load GE washer. It worked for 8 months, then stopped spinning the clothes dry. 2 service appointments later, nothing was resolved. The serviceman first told us we were using too much detergent, then at the second service call said we weren't putting enough laundry in which caused the machine to become unbalanced. Also, we needed to stop the machine during the spin cycle and redistribute the clothes in it to balance it. My husband ended up going into an aFib episode from carrying a load of sopping wet blankets upstairs to wring out outside. I called the store and spoke to *****, the Sales Manager. I told him I was infuriated, I had already injured my back carrying wet clothes up the stairs and now my husband was in aFib for the same reason. I told him I wanted the issue resolved or I'd give a bad review to the BBB. He called me an awful person to give a bad review to a local business, and that a broken washing machine was insignificant in comparison to other issues in the world. He said it was a "minor inconvenience" that the machine wasn't working for over a month and offered to send the same repairman who wouldn't listen to me during the last appointment. He then ended up scheduling an appointment directly with GE after I told him I should not be the one to do it, since we purchased the 5 year warranty through Lakes. Despite the fact that he could easily access our purchase history, he made my husband, who was in aFib, go downstairs to get the model and serial number off the washer. ***** also told me that after 1 year, I'd have to schedule directly with GE anyway, since the service contract was with them, not Lakes. After the bad service and then being told I'd have to go through GE for repairs anyway, I might as well have bought my appliance from ****** or ***********

      Hi *****. It's unfortunate that you're having trouble with your 10 month old GE washer. It is true that a technician was out on it twice to inspect, and his recommendations came directly from what they are taught by the manufacturer. Washing machines being produced these days operate a little bit differently than they used to, and the amount of detergent being used, as well as the size of the load being put in them, can have these type of effects. While it may not have solved your problem, it was the first place to start. When we learned that your problem still wasn't resolved, you refused to allow the same service tech to come back to your home. Because of that, we recommended that you have GE come out on it themselves, and we made the appointment for you as a courtesy. And we certainly hope that they were able to resolve your problem. All we did was try to help you. When you said you were about to go blast us publicly on social media platforms, yes, I voiced my displeasure. You have an issue with your washer, which we were trying to address. We are a local business that employs local people, supports our community in many ways, and cares about the satisfaction of our customers. Dragging our name through the mud publicly not only doesn't solve your problem, but it's unfair. Beyond that, I personally take exception to your post because it is filled with lies about what I said to you. Nearly everything you said is either inaccurate or a boldface lie. You are making things up, and are putting words in my mouth, even quoting me with words that never came out of my mouth. We are honest people and do an honest business. We're not perfect, and sometimes we make mistakes, but your attitude towards us and your eagerness to blast us publicly, and me personally with lies, is out of line.
