About 16 years ago, Szaferman et al set up a Trust with a ************** policy for myself.Because of the way the Trust was set up, the ************** premiums had to be paid from an escrow account that I would deposit money into each year. The law firm agreed to take care of paying the premium from the escrow account to the ************** company.In May or June 2022, after receiving my check, they neglected to pay my ************** premium, and because of that, the policy was terminated, and I lost a $1 million policy. They admitted they made a mistake, but they don't accept full responsibility. They claim it was the responsibility of the Trustees (2 other attorneys). Yet they (1) had agreed at the beginning to pay the premiums, (2) They confirmed their responsibility by paying the premiums for 15 years (3) Though they claim it was not their responsibility, they never contacted nor sent ANY notices to the Trustees for 15 years, and kept accepting my checks and depositing them into their escrow account.Since losing the policy, they have been delaying settling this dispute, postponing actions for weeks or at times months at a time, and it has now been about one and a half years. For example not looking into a policy from another company until a year later, or not returning my phone calls or emails. I established the value of the policy I had lost, but they refuse to pay that.
