I bought a groupon for a 1 hour massage from Vitality Health Centers but they are refusing to provide service, by claiming that I need to live in the county (this requirement is not posted anywhere). I want my money refunded and want them to stop their false advertising

    Business Response

    Date: 10/24/2023

We fully explained to ****************** that our office only accepts the $29 Groupon Massage and Pain Consultation special for LOCAL Sussex County residents.  She lives over 30 minutes away from our office. We suggested she seek the services of another one of our related  New Health clinics CLOSER  to her.  AND we told her that if she cannot find a closer New Health Center clinic that she should contact Groupon for a refund or credit.   We never receive ANY money from Groupon as we belong to a group of health clinics that provide this service through Groupon and health care is a highly regulated industry and we have to abide by the law.    ******* collected the money-- we did NOT and therefore cannot refund her for that which we never received.  Although we explained this to her, she was VERY rude and disrespectful and then went online and called us a bunch of thieves in a ****** review.  (Note: we have never, in over 5 years of doing this promotion, ever experienced such a person as this.  She refuses to handle the situation with Groupon to receive a credit or refund and then attempts to discredit the business in a vile manner)

I am rejecting this response because: I was charged die to Vitality's FALSE advertising! They do not disclose residential requirements of any sort on their misleading "deal". They never advised me if anything other than they refused to offer the coupon they advertised. There are no other one hour massages available for this price. Groupon is refusing to refund the money I spent due to Vitality's FALSE advertising. I was never rude to them and honestly told them that I would make public complaints as well as file with the BBB. I they take down their FALSE advertising and disclose their absurd residence requirements as they never posted this (I drive through the area often). I am capable of determining where I can drive to for what services. Now I am stuck with groupon bucks that I can not use as  I do not want to spend more money on a different service. This would not have occurred without Vitality's deceptive ad.

    Regards,
