I took my car the shop for check Engine light my car would not pass inspection. I gave them the paper from motor vehicle after give me the runaround. They convince me that my engine need to be broken down because the problem was not what the paper for motor vehicle suggested they tested the car they claim that they test drove the car and it wasnt the valves they had to break down the engine, I have all my paperwork. My car has now been dealership for a month now they refused to give me a rental they say I did not have warranty on the engine and trans. I provided them with the paper stating I have warranty on my engine and trans now theyre telling me , that the problem is not in the engine is the original problem that I gave them from motor vehicle inspection department I have working with the *** consumer who states that I need my copy of my sales paper I send the sals paper they claim they can t find a copy of me buying a car in eastern ************ *** dealership I have been with out my car for a month and no one provided a rentalInitial Complaint

08/12/24 towed a car in for a recall - engine issue - the car is still not fixed and can't get an answer on when the motor is coming - they wanted to charge ME $500.00 for a loan - on something that wasn't my fault! 2 weeks car is still not fixed and keep asking for an ETA to see when the vehicle will get the motor and what the hold-up is! And Jahad who thinks everything is funny did not even tell me that there was a $500.00 charge for a loaner vehicle that I didn't have! I called today/26 and they were mindless. They couldn't even find out WHEN the motor will arrive and could not even track the shipment - I'm callling Masood who seems to never be available - just getting the run around on a RECALL!!Initial Complaint

Leased car in May24. MSRP $24490. JC *** total gross of car $36047. Paid $1000 and have monthly payments of $498 for 6 years. Nature of this dispute is the price gouging and possible lemon law violations. Electrical problems occurred in ******. Car has been in JC *** service department as of Aug24 with parts for repairs on back order. No offer of loaner for this extended period of repair.Business Response

I am still without my 2024 *** Seltos since 6/17. I have just received a loaner after 7 weeks of car in repair. While I was waiting on loaner, I noticed my new car with windows down while it was still raining out front on sidewalk of repair shop. I have photos but files are too big to attach to this correspondence. I can email to appropriate destination.

My Kia Sedona van 2015 door is under warranty and has been having issues since past 5 years. Every time I goto service center, they just keep the car without correcting the issue. It has costed me $4000+ in personal expenses and the amount of unnecessary trips to service center.
I also complained to Kia USA, but unfortunately they have been useless.
I cannot go to other service dealers as the original service center needs fix. This time my car is at the service center for last 3 weeks.Initial Complaint

On August 5th, 2023 I financed a car from Jersey City Kia. I put a ****** down payment on a 2022 *** ** GT-Line. The car always had a "marijuana" smell. I just figured the previous owner smoked, because I did find marijuana in the cup holder in the backseat but discarded it. *** did not and admitted to not properly inspecting my car before selling me the car. They said the person who certified my pre-owned car was fired and they couldn't confirm whether my car was properly inspected or not. Clearly it wasn't if the tires were mismatch causing shaking issues which I had before they gave me 4 free new tires and an alignment. The vehicle has been growing mold since I purchased it. Under my car has black mold growing and is filled with water that can fill up a pool. Causing a strong smell that over powers the whole car. When I was driving on March 13th 2024 my slippers were soaking wet, I brought the car to *** and told them about my car floor being drenched in water. I brought the car in on March 15th, 2024. They told me something about my tires being mismatch and other things that didn't regard the car bottom being submerged in water that was under the carpet, stuff that I can't see. They didn't fix anything even though I showed them pictures of the water and my wet clothing, they didn't pull my carpets up to see the mold even with the smell and my urgent concern and they just gave me my car back and said it was fine. I work at ****** in service, one of my co-workers; a technician parked my car in the employee parking lot and he said my car smelled like mold. I don't know the smell of mold and just assumed it was marijuana. I am scared for my health driving the car, and was recommended to get out of the car because the smell is only progressing. Jersey City Kia has been very negligent to my concern and to me. They sold me a moldy car and then recommend for me to call lemon law on them. Im scared for my health, black mold is deadly. 1st visit Nov 29 2023 2nd Visit dec 14 2023 I went to see why my driver side window when you press the button down , will not come back up.On both occasions i called out from work to try to get the issue fixed and it still is not yet fixed. weather in ** is ********************* winter is already here and the stress of the window getting stuck when you open it is really draining when i get to work and i need to swipe my work id to enter my job entrance, i cant roll down my window because few times i forgot and rolled it down to roll it up was the worst struggle. this is a 2023 brand new truck why would i be going through this????? why is it taking this long to have it fixed?????? why should i keep missing work using my gas to jersey city kia and still nothing changes????? to make matters worst last visit i was there they left some thing hanging under the truck. I took my vehicle to the ***************** in Jersey City, ** for service, my car was not serviced, when I returned to pick my vehicle up, it was damaged. The Tech person **** was aware that my vehicle had been damaged. **** stated that they would take care of it. The incident happened on May 20, 2023. I have been contacting them concerning this matter, every time I call they are giving me the run around, They are stating that they don't have a rental vehicle for me or they cant fix my car at this time. We are now in the month of June and this matter still has not been resolved. I am still riding around in a damaged vehicle which was in their care when it got damaged. I would like for my vehicle to be fixed and for them to provide me with a rental until they fix my car.Business Response

I brought my SUV for regular maintenance, as I have done for the past five years since purchasing the vehicle at this very location. There have been management changes recently and the decline in quality is evident. I've reported concerns with my car on at least 3 occasions, two of which were regular maintenance visits and another visit specifically for a noise coming from the car. Each time I was told nothing could be found. On this last visit, I reported heating issues with the car. The service advisor failed to document my exact concerns and simply wrote "check a/c and heat." The technician somehow missed a coolant leak and sent me on my way with a clean bill for the car. The service advisor stated that the "'master techs' are not in on the weekends, and I should come back on a weekday" for better service before offering his cell phone number for any concerns I had with my car. A couple days after this visit my car overheated. I pulled into the nearest mechanic who discovered severely low levels of coolant. I watched as he replaced it with a half gallon of coolant. Considering fluid level checks and top off are standard maintenance, it's evident this location is not providing the service they claim to provide. I brought my car back to the service center for answers on March 16th. To date, no one has ever called me to inform me about what's happening with the car. I have come in person to the office and was informed that the engine is now damaged. As of June 2, I'm still awaiting a response from this location as they claim to have submitted a request to corporate regarding the repair. As many others have stated, this location has no loaners available. I'm pretty sure they don't actually have loaners, they just tell customer that they're always out. I need a resolution to this mess immediately. Three weeks with no car and no communication is beyond unacceptable.Initial Complaint

Good Morning,the vehicle mentioned in the above complaint was advised to **************** for further inspection they declined I guess due to us not having a loaner vehicle available. they mention that it was brought in 2 times for this issue- it was here in september of 22 with ***** miles stating that the temperature gauge fluctuated at which point we topped off the coolant and checked for visible leaks.. which we did not see at that time. It was then here friday december 16th with ***** stating the car was overheating, they were advised to leave the vehicle with us and chose not to do that at that time.Loaner cars are considered " courtesy cars" because there is no guarantee that we will have any available .please reach out to me and let me know if there is any other information needed***********************Jersey City Kia************
