      Went to Dr. ********** for mild tooth pain in early December 2022. After consultation, I was injected with a numbing agent and dr left room for about 45 mins and upon return started drilling on tooth. When given a moment to ask what she is doing, I was advised we are in the middle of a root canal. The doctor did not explain anything and just proceeded medical care without discussing first. I was charged $700 and made to believe by her staff that my insurance would not cover any treatment. However, I was lied to. They did not contact my insurance until a month later and my insurance covered the cost. My insurance confirmed I should have only been charged $460. Through the end of December and early January, the doctor canceled 3 of my appointments and the work on my tooth remains incomplete at the time of this writing. A grievance was filed with my insurance company to recovery the $240 I was over charged. At this time the doctor has refused to return the money. The doctor and practice is extremely rude to patients very unprofessional in every aspect of the business. The staff will triple/quadruple book appointments and She will work on two patients at the same time with out changing PPE. I have observed tools been dropped on floor and put into mouths. The facility is subpar on hygiene and their ************ ** office is in shambles. Roof leaking on dental workstation. Walls crumbling and suspected mold and insect infestation. I believe the practice as a whole is a health and liability risk and should be investigated.

      **** ******** ******* *******, ********** of ******** Affairs, **************************** and New Jersey *********** of *********** am writing to file a formal complaint against *************************************** and The Smile Spa of New Jersey regarding unethical billing practices and failure to provide requested documentation.. Despite repeated requests, ************************ and her practice have not provided detailed invoices, or submitted claims to my insurance provider, Healthplex, for services totaling nearly $15,000 that I had to pay out of pocket.. I first encountered issues with ************************ when seeking treatment for a new bridge for my top teeth. Initially quoted approximately $10,000 out of pocket, I have since paid close to $15,000 without receiving detailed billing information or explanations. Despite being assured that my insurance does cover certain expenses, ************************ and her practice have failed to submit any claims to Healthplex. Healthplex stated very clearly that she is running a scam. Furthermore, I was unexpectedly charged $2,000 by my ******************************************* partner without receiving any bills or invoices, charged me for Invisalign treatment that I did not request nor authorize. Additionally, I was informed that I am unable to schedule further appointments until I pay an additional $1,500 out of pocket, despite not receiving any documentation or explanation for these charges.The manager at Healthplex confirmed that there is no reason for ************************ not to submit claims to my insurance other than potential unethical practices. I am deeply concerned about the unethical billing practices and lack of transparency exhibited by ************************ and her practice. Despite my attempts to address these issues directly with ************************, she has failed to acknowledge or rectify the situation.
