We signed a contract and gave a deposit of over $12,000 with Jersey Premier to install a fiberglass pool&spa in September of 2024. We were told this project would begin and be completed late fall/early winter of 2024. Over the time it has been excuse after excuse as to why this project hasnt started. At a time the owner told me permits have been applied for, only to find out they were not.(They have since been applied for and approved). Last thing is we were told excavation was supposed to start and got a No Call/No Show..Its going on 11months now since this began.

We went into contract with them Aug 2024 to install a pool and patio. So far we have all the permits as of May. Every week since then they have advised they are coming but never show.
The owner Shawn A. was nice but that only goes so far if you advice us you are coming many times and never come.

We appreciate the opportunity to respond and provide clarification regarding this project.
While the agreement was signed in August 2024, there were multiple delays outside of our control that impacted the start of construction. Despite early efforts, zoning approval was not granted until June 16, 2025. Following that, the township engineer required a revised and stamped site plan to confirm that the pool's placement maintained appropriate distance from the bulkhead, ensuring future accessibility for potential repairs. These additional requirements delayed permit issuance until early July.
We began site preparation the third week of July, which included removing a significant ***** obstructing the pool area and setting up a dewatering system due to site conditions. As of this response, the pool has been installed, rough plumbing has been completed, and the site is nearly ready for final backfilling. We are currently coordinating with the township for required inspections before moving into patio installation and final grading.
We understand the frustration caused by perceived delays and strive to maintain transparency throughout our projects. Please know that much of the timeline has been dictated by regulatory and site-specific challenges, not by a lack of commitment or effort on our part.

We signed a contract July 2024 for an inground pool. According to the signed contract, they should have completed the project in 8-12 weeks. It has been 11 months and my pool is still not complete. I would like them to complete my pool by June 2025.

We understand the customer's frustration and appreciate the opportunity to clarify the timeline and events that have transpired regarding this project.
While the contract was signed and deposit made in July 2024, this does not mark the beginning of the construction timeline. As stated in our agreement, the construction schedule begins after all necessary permits are obtained. This includes engineering plans, surveys, subcontractor documentation, and township approvalsall of which can be time-consuming and are often subject to external delays beyond our control.
Excavation began in December 2024. Unfortunately, freezing temperatures shortly thereafter delayed further progress. The pool wall kit was constructed in January 2025. At that pointapproximately one week into constructionthe homeowner informed us of a deep-end bench that had not been included in the final signed plans or the engineered prints previously approved. While we sympathize with the situation, this change required updated engineering and the production of custom parts, resulting in significant delays. These items did not arrive until late March or early April.
Once received, we resumed work to fit the new components and regrade the pool floor. However, due to the delays caused by the design change, the project overlapped with other scheduled commitments, requiring us to carefully coordinate remaining work.
We acknowledge there were further delays in returning to the site. Nonetheless, as of the date of the complaint, we had been in communication with the homeowner and had agreed upon a schedule to complete the project, which the homeowner initially accepted. Shortly thereafter, and before final completion, the customer informed us they no longer wished for us to finish the work. We respected this request, turned over the liner and winter cover as requested, and parted ways amicably.

Thank you for bringing your concerns to our attention. We value our customers and are committed to ensuring that every project meets our high standards. First, I would like to clarify that at no point were you promised, either verbally or in writing, that the pool would be completed by July 4. We take such commitments seriously and, if that had been a guarantee, it would have been clearly stated in your agreement. As you may recall, your construction began on July 8, initiating an 8-12 week construction window, which we communicated to you at the outset. It is also incorrect to state that you have paid over $60,000 for this project. To date, you have paid $46,426. Additionally, there was a misunderstanding with the fiberglass pool supplier. We had submitted the deposit for the construction of the pool to begin. The remaining balance is not due until we pick up the pool shell, from SwimUSA. Regarding the additional piece ordered from SwimUSA, this was done when construction began. SwimUSA required approximately 3 weeks to build it, with an anticipated completion in early August. This addition was an integral part of the pool structure and affected the patio installation and pool plumbing, as we could not proceed with these elements until the piece was ready. This understandably extended the project timeline. The additional feature you requested and the extended timeline were clearly communicated. We were still within the agreed-upon construction window when you requested that we cease work after just three weeks. Regarding the contract, the agreement you signed on page 6 of a 7-page document outlines the project details, timeline, and our obligations. We have adhered to this agreement in good faith and with the intention of completing your project as promised. We regret that our services did not meet your expectations. We hope this clarifies the situation, and we appreciate your understanding.

9/1/22 signed contract with Jersey Premier to install a pool. Deposit of $22,405.20 paid.Over $72,000 paid to date with promises the pool would be done by Memorial Day. Owner now states the tile company "lost" the tile yet the tile was paid for in February and said he had it in his possession months ago. Been almost a year and neighbors complaining and pool not even close to finished. This company is horrible and cant be trusted. Do not ever do business with them

    Business Response

    Here is our response.

The customer signed a contract and paid a deposit on September 1, 2022. As is standard with custom pool installations, this marked the beginning of the permitting and engineering phasenot the start of construction. These preliminary steps involve town approvals, stamped plans, and coordination with utility providers, all of which are required before any site work can begin.

Construction commenced in late February 2023. During the course of the project, we encountered several unforeseen challenges. Supplier-related issuesspecifically involving the original tile ordernecessitated a switch in vendors. Additionally, we faced significant setbacks with certain subcontractors who failed to uphold their commitments. As a result, we had to source new subcontractors, which introduced further scheduling delays. These issues, while unfortunate, were not due to negligence, but rather external factors outside our direct control.

Despite these challenges, the pool was completed in 2023 and has been in use since. In 2024, we returned to perform warranty work as part of our ongoing commitment to stand behind our projects.

We understand the frustration delays can cause and sincerely regret any inconvenience the customer experienced. Our goal throughout the process was to complete the work to the highest standard, and we made every effort to resolve problems promptly and professionally. We stand by the quality of our work and remain available should any future warranty concerns arise.
