1 starBad service, awful communication.
My experience with Blackstone will have me never being a customer again. Their communication with me was simply awful during my move, both being unresponsive and giving me false information. I experienced the following during a 1-bedroom apt move:
1. They were initially unable to accommodate the preferred day of my move, unfortunate but okay.
2. Then, when they did arrive, it turns out they under-quoted me $400 so that was a fun surprise
3. They also promised disassembly and assembly of my furniture, but were unprepared to do so (did not have alan keys)
4. Throughout, they did not answer a plethora of calls. ****** at their Florida office, is great, but their main ****** office never answers the phone, and only called me back after leaving several messages with them, *****, and the movers.
5. They then had their truck stopped on the way to my destination for having a broken headlight, and were unable to complete the delivery the same day. Even when they arrived, the driver said the headlight was still broken, so I question the state of their fleet and mechanics.
They also first lied and then were unresponsive throughout this delay, the driver and office failing to call or answer my calls throughout. Truly awful service. They told me about the delay hours after it happened, and first lead me to believe they would still arrive the same day.
6. The office then called me the next day and lied about when the movers would actually arrive
7. When everything was eventually unloaded, my desk drawer was damaged and multiple items were dirty from their truck.
When I complained about the service I received to them, they threatened me with additional fees and tried to make me feel bad about how that delay had hurt the company. I will never use them again, and encourage anyone else to look elsewhere.Review fromWinnie M

1 starThey lost 17 of our boxes and the multiple people I talked to to try and locate them had no explanation. For how much we paid, my bottom line expectation was that all our belongings would arrive. I am not interested in a reply from the company, I just want others to be aware when selecting a moving company.Blackstone Movers Corp

5 starsI was referred to Blackstone Movers via **** and am glad I was. They were fantastic, and I wish I could give them six stars. They were punctual, efficient, professional, and thorough. They damaged nothing and took extra care not to. They worked diligently to fit all of my home contents into a 16-foot container. I had tentatively scheduled an additional 8-foot container. Still, due to their efforts, Blackstone Movers did not need it, saving me over a thousand dollars when you count the pod, transportation to the destination, and packing. Great job. 1 starBlackstone Movers made my move from ** to ** a terrible experience that turned out to be almost double the price! contracted for.
In brief summary, Blackstone Movers was sent by a broker, Great American Movers. I did not know i was being "brokered".
1) I signed a quote for less than $3,000 for 400 cubic feet after careful consideration of the inventory which included photos. I added nothing to the inventory in fact a dehumidifier was left behind. That should have left a small deficit however the driver billed me over $5,000 for 700 cu ft!! The company could not give measurements for 400 cu ft but told me to look at a 10' box truck which is 500 cu ft and estmate from there. I didn't have enough to fill a 10' box truck never mind 700 cu ft! Mostly boxes, table set, small drill, folding bike.
2) I was told, verbally and in writing for the quote that all packing, wraps, tape, whatever was included. The driver charged me $125 to pack each mirror!. I complained and said I only paid $10 for one mirror and $75 for the other so take them off the truck! He said he would take the charge off if I "would take of his guys" which I took to mean a monetary tip, which I was planning, so I said thank you. At the end the charge was not taken off. I had to fight for it later because I was told packing was included.
3) Because the driver / foreman over charged my expected amount by $2000, I needed to get another thousand to hand him after bank hours. No credit cards accepted and forced me to open a Zelle account and charged me $300 while I was on the phone with my bank to make it go through. The first hour was to be included according to the 2 full hours we spent signing papers- which surprised me because I had already signed contracts.

5) Blackstone is forcing me to pay the over charges unless I decide to refuse delivery, which I may to.
Apparently drivers can charge whatever they want and the companies do not care if it is ethical or not. Just beware!!!Blackstone Movers Corp

The customer was provided $2300 discount from her delivery balance at the time of delivery to resolve any issues and she agreed. This was not an obligation. We wanted to resolve any complaints and deliver the items since it was already incurring additional cost to the company and the driver was already paid. If we did not find a way to resolve it at that time, we would have been forced to incur additional expenses which we did not want. The price was already agreed to at the time of the move and she was aware of her balance prior to scheduling the delivery. We were in compliance to the terms of the contract. 1 starThis fraudulent company more than doubled the amount quoted for my partial move, did not take the actual number of bins on the bill of lading, tried to charge $1,000 for packing wrap (wrap for two beds and a tv!!!) and for a minuscule number of items that did t even fill up 1/8 of a truck, tried to charge $5,000 when the initial estimate was $2,150. They are crooks, plain and simple. The movers smoked in the building and in my apartment, didnt show up with their own truck, but a Penske truck, went off looking for extra help at the local ********** (and, not finding any, proceeded to simply refuse to take the items theyd promised to take).Rotten, rotten company. Had I been able to see that they arent BBB accredited and got a D+ for their BBB rating, I would never have chosen them, but a broker (********************** out of ***************) PRETENDED to be a moving company, only they sub-contracted out to a rogue mover (ie, Blackstone). Out of the *** list of 18 signs of a fraudulent mover, Blackstone and Trident nailed 15 of them.As another reviewer said, steer far, far away from them.Blackstone Movers Corp

Blackstone Movers Corp would like to respond to ********************* complaint regarding her moving experience. When our crew went out to load the customer the ****** did a walkthrough with her and let her know what the final cost would be when loaded on the truck. ***************** signed the new contract without any issues, comments, or concerns. In the time between pickup and delivery ***************** did not contact us regarding any issues, comments, or concerns. On the day of delivery ***************** refused to pay the balance due on delivery and tried to make a separate deal with the driver to unload her and she would pay him, the driver was told to put her belongings in a storage facility near her home. The customer was then told she would be responsible for redelivery fees as well as storage fees. During the time of us trying to resolve this matter with her we offered to redeliver her with no fees other than her balance, which she also refuses. As of 9/8/2023 we have filed a court claim, and informed ***************** on this matter, this is why she has filed a BBB complaint. 1 starThe absolute WORST experience ever for a military veteran. Steer FAR from them. Severely damaged and broken items, missing game systems, how convenient. Lies throughout the whole process. They should be ashamed. They get paid and on to the next victim and then twist it around to made you look like the bad guy because they did everything they could!! The worst customers service ever. Yes, we were in the phone past midnight because of the companies horrific service!! I see other good ratings here so maybe they are good for moving one or two items but I cant imagine anything like while house like us!! Run away fast!Blackstone Movers Corp

Blackstone Movers would like to respond to *********************** complaint, regarding the service we provided. Our crew arrived at the ******* residents on July 19th where only ****************** was in attendance. Our ****** went over our contract with him at which time ****************** signed and the crew started loading the truck. ****************** was present the entire time the workers were loading the truck as well as having taken photos and video of the workers. As for any missing play system our crew was loading those items when ****************** instructed them to put the systems into a plane box which is exactly what they did and put it on the truck. We apologize for any damages that *** have occurred during transport however we communicated to ****************** that she would need to file a claim for any damaged or missing items and she would be compensated as such. As for any and all calls and text from Mr. or ******************* at any hour of the day or night every call was answered promptly and because we want to show our customers that their issues are important to us no matter the time of day. One final note ******************* was not present at the time of pick up or delivery, however all her concerns were addressed immediately if possible. In order to accommodate *********************** concerns, we gave her a $2500.00 discount for any inconvenience she *** have incurred. Blackstone Movers has reached out to Mr. and ******************* in hopes of resolving any and all issues they *** have, however we have not heard back from anyone. We at Blackstone Movers know that customers are the backbone of any industry, and we value how hard people work for their money and we are committed to making each and every customer know that we are here to be a part of their new adventure because to us they are not just customers they are part of the Blackstone FamilyReview fromJames W
