i started working 12/26/2022 and was suppose to get paid Friday, January 13th 2023. im still waiting for my paycheck.. they told me either Friday, January 20th 2023 or Monday, January 23rd 2023. on paperwork, the pay rate for a live-in case is $200 per day. verbally however, i was told my pay rate is $160-170 per day. mind you, when i received my paperwork, everything was mine except for the one paper that stated the daily rate for a live-in case. i questioned the difference in pay rate and was told that i was not like other aids so don't compare myself. but my mother on the other hand just started and got offered a live-in case for a week and was told shed be getting paid $1400 once she was done with her case. thats sounds a lot like $200 a day if you ask me. my boss was on the phone with her boss and the conversation about payday came about, the bigger boss stating i dont want the same thing that happened last time to happen again and no one gets paid. im just worried that i worked for nothing and my bills wont be getting paid. im in a bad spot financially and i explained that, but nothing was ever said that assured me id be getting paid. just the same youre gonna get your money statement ive been told since the first time i asked for it.
